IMS routing based on subscriber type
A network operator can partition network elements, including elements of an IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) or Policy and Charging Rules Functions (PCRFs) into groups reserved for specific types of subscribers. When a user equipment (UE) registers with an IMS, elements of the IMS can contact a Home Subscriber Server (HSS) to determine a subscriber type associated with the UE. Based on the UE's subscriber type, an IMS element can determine an application server or other IMS element to contact about the UE based on identifying application servers or IMS elements that are also associated with the same subscriber type as the UE. Similarly, an IMS element can determine a PCRF to contact about the UE based on identifying a PCRF that is associated with the same subscriber type as the UE.
Data transmission using alert signals to carry data
Various embodiments provide for data transmission using alert signals to carry data, which can be used in such applications as data network communications between sensors (e.g., cameras, motion, radar, etc.) and computing equipment within vehicles (e.g., smart and autonomous cars).

STEREO RECEPTION OF AUDIO STREAMS IN SINGLE ENDPOINT WIRELESS SYSTEMS
Disclosed herein, among other things, are systems and methods for obtaining stereo reception of an audio stream by multiple audio devices when only a single endpoint is the intended recipient. A system includes a first audio device and one or more second audio devices. The first audio device receives a first signal from a central device via a first wireless connection, transfers to the one or more second audio devices via a second wireless connection a second signal to enable the one or more second audio devices to eavesdrop on the first wireless connection, receives the incoming audio packet via the first wireless connection, and sends the incoming audio packet to the one or more second audio devices via the second wireless connection. The one or more second audio devices receives the incoming audio packet using the second wireless connection or by eavesdropping on the first wireless connection.

ACTIVE SPEAKER TRACKING USING A GLOBAL NAMING SCHEME
A method includes, at a media bridge configured to distribute a plurality of media streams among a plurality of client devices connected to the media bridge over a network, receiving the plurality of media streams from the plurality of client devices via the media bridge. The media bridge connects the plurality of client devices. The method further includes assigning a pair of names for each of the plurality of media streams. The pair of names include a contribution name and a distribution name. The method further includes presenting a first list to the plurality of client devices. The first list including a plurality of the distribution names for the plurality of media streams received from the plurality of client devices. The method further includes providing an indication of a current active speaker within the plurality of media streams via a signaling process.
APPARATUS, SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR MULTI-BITRATE CONTENT STREAMING
An apparatus for multi-bitrate content streaming includes a receiving module configured to capture media content, a streamlet module configured to segment the media content and generate a plurality of streamlets, and an encoding module configured to generate a set of streamlets. The system includes the apparatus, wherein the set of streamlets comprises a plurality of streamlets having identical time indices and durations, and each streamlet of the set of streamlets having a unique bitrate, and wherein the encoding module comprises a master module configured to assign an encoding job to one of a plurality of host computing modules in response to an encoding job completion bid. A method includes receiving media content, segmenting the media content and generating a plurality of streamlets, and generating a set of streamlets

Service request processing method, apparatus, and communications system
Embodiments provide a service request processing method, a related device, and a communications system in an IMS network. In some embodiments, because 5GC network slices correspond to different services, P-CSCFs in the IMS also correspond to different service information. After receiving a terminated service request sent by an I-CSCF, a first S-CSCF can obtain an address of a corresponding P-CSCF based on terminated service information carried in the terminated service request. Then, the first S-CSCF sends the terminated service request to the P-CSCF corresponding to the address, and the P-CSCF processes the terminated service request.
