SYSTEM AND METHODS OF VIRTUAL WORLD INTERACTION
Systems and methods of virtual world interaction, operation, implementation, instantiation, creation, and other functions related to virtual worlds (note that where the term “virtual world” is used herein, it is to be understood as referring to virtual world systems, virtual environments reflecting real, simulated, fantasy, or other structures, and includes information systems that utilize interaction within a 3D environment). Various embodiments facilitate interoperation between and within virtual worlds, and may provide consistent structures for operating virtual worlds. The disclosed embodiments may further enable individuals to build new virtual worlds within a framework, and allow third party users to better interact with those worlds.
Cloud-based communication system for monitoring and facilitating collaboration sessions
A cloud-based communication system for monitoring a collaboration session. Based on the monitoring, the system identifies a collaboration event that indicates desirability of a break or that a digression from a session topic has or is occurring. When a collaboration event is identified, a prompt is communicated to the facilitator of the collaboration session. The collaboration event may be defined in a variety of ways such as participant fatigue, participant distraction, or the like. The system provides the facilitator with actions to be initiated by the system (automatically or in response to facilitator/user input) to respond to an identified communication event. The actions include initiating a break, acting to avoid or reduce session digressions, and creating a highlight reel of the collaboration session, including a number of unique features enabling more efficient retrieval and/or review of data. A distracted or fatigued participant can be directed to access the highlight reel.
Playback Expansion
Examples described herein involve expanding playback of a media item from a first playback device to a second playback device. In one example, while a first playback device is playing a media item as part of a first zone, the first playback device identifies that a second playback device has moved to a location that is within a given physical proximity of the first playback. The first playback device determines that playback is to be expanded to the second playback device, and transmits a command to cause the second playback device to (i) join the first zone and (ii) begin to play the media item in synchrony with the first playback device.
ACTIVITY-BASED APPLICATION RECOMMENDATIONS
Methods, systems and computer program products for shared content management systems. In a content management system that supports multiple applications that operate on shared documents, multiple modules are operatively interconnected to make and present activity-based application recommendations. Techniques for making activity-based application recommendations include recording a series of interaction events from multiple users, which events correspond to a series of interactions performed by a plurality of applications over a shared content object. Constituent interaction events from the series of interactions are analyzed to determine a set of recommended applications. The set of recommended applications is presented to a user in a dynamically-populated user interface.
Unified, browser-based enterprise collaboration platform
A system for enterprise collaboration is associated with an overlay network, such as a content delivery network (CDN). The overlay network comprises machines capable of ingress, forwarding and broadcasting traffic, together with a mapping infrastructure. The system comprises a front-end application, a back-end application, and set of one or more APIs through which the front-end application interacts with the back-end application. The front-end application is a web or mobile application component that provides one or more collaboration functions. The back-end application comprises a signaling component that maintains state information about each participant in a collaboration, a connectivity component that manages connections routed through the overlay network, and a multiplexing component that manages a multi-peer collaboration session to enable an end user peer to access other peers' media streams through the overlay network rather than directly from another peer. Peers preferably communicate with the platform using WebRTC. A collaboration manager component enables users to configure, manage and control their collaboration sessions.
TILT-RESPONSIVE TECHNIQUES FOR SHARING CONTENT
Methods and systems are disclosed for sharing a content item from a secondary computing device to a primary computing device based on a tilt position of the secondary computing device. A sensor on the secondary computing device determines that the secondary computing device has a first tilt position that is associated with a non-sharing mode. The sensor senses that the secondary computing device is tilting from the first tilt position towards a second tilt position that is associated with a full sharing mode. In response, the content item is shared with the primary computing device. An amount of the content item that is shared continues to be increased as long as the sensor continues to sense that the secondary computing device is tilting. Once the secondary computing device has reached the second tilt position, the entire content item is shared with the primary computing device.

SELF-JOINING MODE FOR SHARED COLLABORATIVE CHANNEL
Systems and methods for inviting an external user to join a shared collaborative channel are provided. In particular, a computing device may generate a common channel invitation for one or more users and cause the common channel invitation to be transmitted to the one or more users. The common channel invitation may include an invitation link to a shared collaborative channel and a selectable option to redeem the common channel invitation to the shared collaboration channel. The computing device is further monitor whether the one or more users access the shared collaborative channel via the invitation link, and in response to detecting that at least one of the one or more users is accessing the shared collaborative channel via the invitation link, allow the at least one user to view at least some content of the shared collaborative channel.
Breakout session assignment by device affiliation
Presented herein are techniques in which a device connects a plurality of user devices to a communication session in which a plurality of participants of the respective plurality of user devices communicate using audio and/or video and determines respective locations of the plurality of user devices. The devices receives, from a particular user device of the plurality of user devices, a request to group the user devices into a plurality of groups to form one or more breakout communication sessions off of the communication session, assigns user devices to respective ones of the plurality of groups based on the respective locations such that user devices at a common location are assigned to a same group, and transmits information identifying the plurality of groups to the particular user device.
Enabling breakout rooms in webinars
One example method includes transmitting a message to a first client device indicating a transition to a first sub-meeting of a webinar, the first client device connected to a main meeting of the webinar and associated with a first participant, receiving, from the first client device, a request for access information to join the first sub-meeting; transmitting the access information for the first sub-meeting to the first client device, receiving, from the first client device, a request to join the first sub-meeting, the request based on the access information for the first sub-meeting, and joining the first client device to the first sub-meeting.
