Method, apparatus, and system for floor control on multiple MCPTT systems
A method, an apparatus and a system for floor control on multiple mission critical push to talk MCPTT systems are disclosed. In an embodiment the method includes receiving, by a first floor control server, a first message from N network element devices, wherein the first message is used to request a floor from the first floor control server, and wherein the N network element devices belong to N MCPTT systems respectively, determining according to the first message, that an MCPTT user in an MCPTT group belonging to a first MCPTT system occupies the floor, wherein the first MCPTT system is an MCPTT system to which a first network element device belongs, and sending a second message to the first network element device, wherein the second message is used to indicate that the MCPTT user in the MCPTT group belonging to the first MCPTT system occupies the floor.
Media downlink transmission control method and related device
A media downlink transmission control method and a related device, the method including receiving a remote media reception message sent by an authorized terminal, where the remote media reception message includes a target user identifier, determining a first target media stream based on the remote media reception message, and sending the first target media stream to a destination terminal corresponding to the target user identifier.
Method and system for access and use of multiple ISIM or ISIM credentials
A method at a mobile entity for enabling use of multiple Internet Protocol (IP) Multimedia Services (IMS), the method including reading data from a plurality of IMS Subscriber Identity Modules (ISIMs) associated with the mobile entity; storing the data at the mobile entity; and binding a function at the mobile entity to one of the plurality of ISIMs.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MULTI-PARTY COMMUNICATION OF TRENDING TOPICS
A system and method for multi-party communication includes determining a trending common identifier within a media platform and generating a communication channel within a communication platform based on the common identifier. The method and system includes, in response to a join request from each of a plurality of users, connecting the plurality of users to the communication channel, where the communication channel is an open communication channel for active audio communication between the plurality of users across the communication platform and facilitating audio communication between the plurality of users, including providing a visual display on the communication platform, including visual display of the active audio communication across the communication platform.
IMPLEMENTING PUSH-TO-TALK IN A MULTIMEDIA CONFERENCING SYSTEM
Systems and methods of providing push-to-talk communication techniques in a multimedia conferencing session are provided. For instance, a push-to-talk mode can be implemented in a conferencing session associated with a conferencing system comprising a plurality of endpoints. At least one of the endpoints can be a full duplex endpoint. A request for transmission capabilities can be received from a first endpoint. Transmission capabilities can be granted to the first endpoint based at least in part on one or more floor control parameters associated with the conferencing session. Subsequent to granting transmission capabilities to the first endpoint, audio data can be provided from the first endpoint to at least one endpoint of the plurality of endpoints in the conferencing session.
System and method for managing audio cut-in policy in MCPTT communication
The present disclosure provides a method and system for managing mission critical push-to-talk (MCPTT) communication. The method includes receiving, by a floor control server, a first floor request message, from a primary floor participant, while a floor is given to a secondary floor participant and a first media transmission is performed by the secondary floor participant; in response to receiving the first floor request message, transmitting, by the floor control server, to the secondary floor participant, a first floor revoke message for stopping the first media transmission of the secondary floor participant, and transmitting, by the floor control server, a first floor grant message to the primary floor participant; and transmitting, by the floor control server, a first floor taken message to the secondary floor participant, wherein the first floor taken message includes information of the primary floor participant given the floor.
Apparatus and methods for centralized message exchange in a user premises device
Methods and apparatus for providing a messaging server within a premises device e.g., a home or enterprise gateway device. In one embodiment, a system is described that includes a premises device that acts as a centralized client messaging platform providing messaging services between a content provider and client devices, and also between client devices within a premises network. The premises device enables client-to-client communication that bypasses the long trip and propagation delay over the Internet by connecting the message across the premises network within the home or building. The premises device enables messages to be communicated between a content provider outside the premises network and the client devices via a single connection to minimize the number of Internet connections that need to be opened, and the number of messages communicated with servers outside of the premises network via both upstream aggregation and downstream dis-aggregation, which collectively save both network bandwidth and device reaction time.
METHOD FOR CONTROLLING VIDEO CALL AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE THEREOF
An electronic device includes at least one display, a communication circuit, at least one processor, and a memory. The processor is configured to obtain information on a first display aspect ratio associated with a current state of the at least one display if an input indicating initiation of a video call is received. The processor is configured to determine at least one first image ratio associated with the video call based on the information on the first display aspect ratio. The processor is configured to transmit, to an external electronic device, a first signal including information on the at least one first image ratio. The processor is configured to receive, from the external electronic device, a second signal including information on a second image ratio associated with the video call. The processor is configured to perform the video call based on the second image ratio.
VIDEO MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (VMS) WITH EMBEDDED PUSH TO TALK (PTT) CONTROL
Embodiments include a system, method, and computer program product that enable video management of a plurality of video feeds with Push to Talk (PTT) communications. Some embodiments monitor a plurality of video feeds using a VMS graphics user interface (GUI) where a plurality of video feeds are video feed components of an interactive multimedia media object (IMMO) displayed in the VMS GUI. Some embodiments include receiving a selection of a first talk group that is associated with the IMMO, where members of the first talk group may view the video feed components and communicate via PTT. Subsequently, some embodiments include receiving a second selection of a second talk group, associating the second talk group with the IMMO, and enabling PTT communications among members of the second talk group and an operator of the VMS.
RADIO GATEWAY TRANMISSION FAILURE NOTIFICATION
Methods and systems for indicating an audio forwarding failure at a Radio-over-Internet-Protocol (RoIP) gateway device of a RoIP system is disclosed. In one step, audio communication is detected from a radio handset communicatively coupled with the RoIP gateway device and is buffered. When an error in forwarding the audio communication to at least a portion of devices connected to the RoIP system, an audio notification indicative of the error is sent to the radio handset after determining the audio communication from the radio handset has ended.
