Method for term-dependent output of information based on a voice input to a specific group, and system
A method for term-dependent output of information based on a voice input to a specific group includes the steps of: capturing the voice input; analyzing the captured voice input for the presence of a group-specific key term, associated with the specific group; and on detection of the group-specific key term in the analyzed voice input, outputting the information based on the voice input to the specific group.
Voice communication method
Audio inputs are detected at an electronic device and translated into electronic communications for playback at an external electronic device.
Device, system and method for communicating between devices using two protocols
A device, system and method for communicating between devices using two protocols is provided. A request is received from a first device to communicate with a second device. A dedicated client operates according to a first protocol. A call server is operated according to a second protocol. An identifier is provided to the second device for requesting a web application for conducting a call via the call server, the identifier associated with the first and second device. A request, including the identifier is received and the web application is provided to the second device. A first call is set up between the dedicated client and a respective dedicated client. A second call is set up between the call server and the web application at the second device. The first call and the second call are connected to conduct an end-to-end call between the first and second device.
Forwarding a communication transmitted to a portable communications device based on talkgroup affiliation and override settings
Methods, apparatuses, and systems for forwarding a communication transmitted to a portable communications device. One method includes affiliating the portable communications device with a talkgroup, and, in response to affiliating the portable communications device with the talkgroup, receiving, at an electronic processor included in the portable communications device, forwarding configuration data associated with the talkgroup. The method also includes forwarding a communication transmitted to the portable communications device while the portable communications device is affiliated with the talkgroup based on the forwarding configuration data associated with the talkgroup and one or more override settings.
Method and device for group communication
The present disclosure relates to technologies for sensor networks, machine-to-machine (M2M) communications, machine-type communications (MTC), and the Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services such as smart homes, smart buildings, smart cities, smart cars or connected cars, health care, digital education, retail businesses, and security and safety related services, on the basis of said technologies. More specifically, the present disclosure relates to a method for performing a group communication by a terminal, the method comprising the steps of: setting a condition for selecting target terminals which will perform a group communication on the basis of the position of the terminal, and transmitting, to a server for providing the group communication, configuration information including the set selection condition; transmitting, to the server, a request for the group communication; receiving, from the server, a talk burst control message for a group communication with terminals which satisfy the selection condition and are selected from adjacent terminals positioned in the near field of the terminal; and relaying and transmitting media data to the selected terminals via the server.
MANAGING STREAMED AUDIO COMMUNICATION SESSIONS
Methods and apparatus are disclosed for managing streamed audio communication sessions between user devices (50) configured to send streamed data indicative of received audio contributions from respective participants in a multiple-participant audio communication session via a communications network to one or more other user devices (50) for conversion to audio representations of said received audio contributions for other participants. The method comprises monitoring audio contributions from respective participants, and in response to detection therefrom that a first participant is beginning to make an audio contribution at a first one of said user devices (50a) after a period of silence, providing a signal for at least one of said other user devices (50b, 50c, 50d) indicating that the first participant is beginning to make an audio contribution; and in response to receipt at said at least one other user device (50b, 50c, 50d) of such a signal, triggering a predetermined audible indication for a participant at said at least one other user device (50b, 50c, 50d) that said first participant is beginning to make an audio contribution.
Methods and apparatus for managing control data
Methods and systems for managing control data in a push-to-talk over cellular (PoC) communication are provided. A method includes: receiving, by a user equipment (UE), control data from a PoC server on a control plane and/or a data plane for a PoC session. The control data is not limited to a text control data, but also can include an audio control data and/or an image control data. Further, the method includes processing the received control data and sending the processed control data from a communication processor (CP) to an audio device and/or an always on display of the UE through a direct communication channel set up between the CP and a low power processor (LPP), without waking up an application processor (AP) of the UE. Thus, the method effectively reduces battery consumption of the UE to lowest possible level.
Method, device and system for pushing file
A method, a device and a system for pushing a file are provided. In some embodiments, the method includes: splitting a data file to be pushed into multiple sub-files; uploading the multiple sub-files in parallel to a file storage node; and adding a push task corresponding to the multiple sub-files into a coordinator node. When it is detected that the push task is added into the coordinator node, a slave push node downloads the multiple sub-files in parallel from the file storage node, merges the multiple downloaded sub-files, and pushes a data file obtained by the merging to a destination node upon receipt of a scheduling instruction from the master push node. The solutions shorten the time taken to upload the data file and the time taken to download the data file, and improve the push efficiency.
INCIDENT COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK WITH DYNAMIC ASSET MARSHALING AND A MOBILE INTEROPERABILITY WORKSTATION
Some embodiments include systems and methods for establishing incident communications networks. The system can include an incident controller, a communications resource database that stores communications resources information, and a marshalling rules module that stores a set of marshalling rules. The incident controller can use a marshalling rule to identify and select the communications resources to be marshaled into the incident communications network based on an incident trigger. Upon receipt of an incident trigger, the incident controller is configured to establish the incident communications network by obtaining a marshalling rule based on the incident trigger. The incident controller marshals communications resources based on the marshalling rule and the communications resources determined to be available. Information sources can either provide an incident trigger (e.g., a hurricane warning) or provide data to be analyzed to determine an incident trigger. In some embodiments, an incident communications network includes one or more mobile interoperability workstation.
RADIO DEVICE, CONTROL METHOD OF RADIO DEVICE, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM
A radio device includes a storage unit, a group call control unit, and a cipher key generation unit. The storage unit is configured to store therein a plurality of primary cipher keys, a plurality of pieces of device information, and a plurality of pieces of group information. The group call control unit is configured to perform a group call with radio devices belonging to a first group using a primary cipher key. The cipher key generation unit is configured to generate a secondary cipher key that is different from the primary cipher key when one or more radio devices belonging to the first group are selected during the group call. The group call control unit performs a temporary group call with the selected radio devices by switching the primary cipher key to the secondary cipher key.
