A communication apparatus includes a transmission unit configured to, in response to an information request from another apparatus, transmit issued information issued by the communication apparatus to the another apparatus, a first reception unit configured to receive a transfer request based on the issued information from a client apparatus, a second reception unit configured to receive, from a server apparatus, data to be transferred to the client apparatus operating as a transmission source of the transfer request based on the issued information, and a transfer unit configured to, in a case where the first reception unit receives the transfer request based on the issued information from each of a plurality of client apparatuses including a client apparatus to which the issued information issued by the communication apparatus is not transmitted by the transmission unit, transfer the data received from the server apparatus to the plurality of client apparatuses.

Impromptu community streamer

Various systems and methods for streaming an impromptu community are described herein. In one example, a system for streaming impromptu communities includes a data storage device, a community analyzer, and a publisher. In an example, the data storage device can store a number of incoming data sets, wherein each data set identifies a time and location for the origin of the data, a media instance, and an identification of an origin device or origin user. In an example, the community analyzer can operate from the data storage device to use a processor in order to calculate an IC boundary and generate an impromptu community (IC) indicator based on the proximity and temporality of the number of incoming data sets. In an example, the processor can modify the number of data sets to include the IC indicator.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ASSOCIATING SERVICES IN AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE

A method for associating services in an electronic device is provided. The method includes sending, by a first electronic device, a first service with a first private association dialog (PAD) to a second electronic device, wherein the first PAD of the first service includes a first PAD identifier and sending, by the first electronic device, a second service with a second PAD to the second electronic device, wherein the second PAD of the second service includes a second PAD identifier that matches the first PAD identifier to associate the second service with the first service at the second electronic device.

Transmission of group video synchronization to other radios

A method and apparatus for synchronizing group video is provided herein. Upon a triggering event, users viewing a video over an LTE network will transmit synchronization information (e.g., a frame number, or a time stamp of the video frame, . . . , etc.) over an LMR and/or LTE network. In response, user devices will synchronize to the same spot in the video.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR ASSOCIATING USER WITH GROUP

Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and a device for associating a user with a group. The method includes: receiving, by a first communications device, a first association request sent by a second communications device, where the first association request includes an identifier of an MCPTT user and identifiers of N MCPTT groups, and N is a positive integer; associating the MCPTT user with M MCPTT groups of the N MCPTT groups according to association subscription information of the MCPTT user; and sending a first association response to the second communications device, where the first association response is used to indicate that the MCPTT user is successfully associated with the M MCPTT groups of the N MCPTT groups, 1?M?N, and M is an integer. In this way, the MCPTT user is associated with the M MCPTT groups that the MCPTT user is interested in.

PORTABLE COMMUNICATIONS DEVICE WITH TACTILITY ELEMENT

A portable communications device includes a housing, a push button disposed along the housing, and an antenna radiating element disposed within the housing and spaced from the push button. The antenna radiating element is configured to be contacted and deflected by the push button to provide a tactile response when the push button is pressed.

Updating Mission Critical Video Communications

A request message for changing one or more media for an MCVideo call may be transmitted from a wireless device to n MCVideo application function (AF). A DIAMETER AA-request (AAR) command may be received by a policy and charging rules function (PCRF) from the MCVideo AF. The DIAMETER AAR command may comprise: a modification bearer message; and an application identifier attribute-value pairs (AVP) corresponding to the MCVideo call. An implementation message may be transmitted from the PCRF to a policy and charging enforcement function (PCEF). The implementation message may comprise an updated Quality of Service (QoS). The PCEF may implement the updated QoS for the MCVideo call. The updated QoS may: comprise QoS data bearer modification information; and depend on a change in a radio network coverage.

Voice channel management in a communication system

Techniques are disclosed for managing communication channels in a communication system that includes communication devices and a communication server. In one embodiment, a communication device may receive an invitation to join a new communication channel, the invitation comprising a universal resource locator (URL) link to a location that contains instructions for joining the new communication channel. The communication device may then launch a companion application in response to activating the URL link where the companion application may be associated with an account administered by a communications server. The companion application may be configured to manage one or more communication devices. A user may select from among the communication devices managed by the companion application to be added to the new communication channel and send, to the communication server, an acceptance to the invitation to join the new communication channel. The acceptance may include an identity of the selected communication devices to add to the new communication channel.
