Set buffer state instruction
Input/output (I/O) operation requests from pageable storage mode guests are interpreted without host intervention. In a pageable mode virtual environment, requests issued by pageable storage mode guests are processed by one or more processors of the environment absent intervention from one or more hosts of the environment. Processing of the requests includes manipulating, by at least one processor on behalf of the guests, buffer state information stored in host storage. The manipulating is performed via instructions initiated by the guests and processed by one or more of the processors.
METHOD FOR DYNAMIC FILTERING OF A GROUP COMMUNICATION
A communications management method, implemented by a system comprising at least one user terminal and a communications management server, the server comprising a memory in which are stored: for each user, an identifier of the user associated with a current status of the user and at least one terminal identifier, and a definition of at least one group of users containing the list of identifiers of the user members of the group, the method comprising a step of establishing a communication between the user terminal and the group, during said step: the terminal sends a communication rule to the server, and the server establishes the communication between the user terminal and a set of terminals of user members of the group, said set being determined based on the communication rule and the current statuses of the user members of the group.
PROVIDING DATA SERVICE OPTIONS USING VOICE RECOGNITION
Initiation of a search query is accomplished by voice direction, rather than by reading choices and texting or clicking through options. A mobile phone includes a dedicated voice query service button for generating a signal for initiating a voice enabled service session, a speaker and microphone for transducing sounds and electrical signals, a display for displaying visual information to a user, memory for storing data, a transceiver for receiving and transmitting data and a processor. The processor receives a signal generated by the service button for initiating a voice enabled service session, communicates a prompt to a user to begin speaking, stores voice data from a user and transmits the stored voice data to a server for transforming the voice data to a result satisfying the spoken voice service request.
Passive outdial support for mobile devices via WAP push of an MVSS URL
A Mobile Voice Self Service (MVSS) system that may include an MVSS mobile device and a client system. The system may be used to provide passive outdial support for a mobile device via WAP Push of an MVSS URL. The MVSS mobile device may have various local applications such as a bootstrap application and an outdial application. The client system may include an application server to deliver an MVSS file to the MVSS mobile device.
Method, system, and apparatus for controlling a plurality of mobile-radio equipped robots in a talkgroup
A process for controlling a plurality of mobile-radio equipped robots in a talkgroup includes receiving, at a mobile-radio equipped robot via a wireless communications interface comprising one of an infrastructure wireless communication interface for communicating with an infrastructure radio access network (RAN) and an ad-hoc wireless communication interface for communicating with an ad-hoc network, a group voice call containing a voice-command. The mobile-radio equipped robot determines that it is a target of the group voice call, and responsively text-converts the voice-command into an actionable text-based command. The mobile-radio equipped robot subsequently operates a mechanical drive element in accordance with the actionable text-based command.
System and method for seamless push-to-talk services
Embodiments include a system, method, and computer program product for providing seamless PTT services to a user. In an embodiment, a push-to-talk (PTT) component provides, to the user, PTT services with a talk group through a connectivity to a data channel in a mobile network. A voice monitoring component monitors attributes of data connectivity on the data channel to determine when a voice quality falls below a threshold. When the voice quality is determined to fall below the threshold, a connectivity component requests the user to switch the connectivity to a voice channel. Then, the connectivity component dials a telephone number through the voice channel to access a voice conference bridge that provides the PTT services. To provide the PTT services, the voice conference bridge sets up a routing path to a session initiation protocol (SIP) session for the talk group, and routes voice communication through the SIP session.
Systems and methods for push-to-talk voice communication over voice over internet protocol networks
Push to talk (PTT) devices that communicate packet-based voice communications are disclosed. An example PTT device receives voice packets via a packet-based communication network from another PTT device. Voice information in the received voice packets are used to reconstruct the voice communication. The receiving PTT device is able to identify an occurrence of at least one delayed, corrupted or lost voice packet, and then communicate a packet re-transmit request to the other PTT device requesting a replacement voice packet that has a portion of the voice communication that is identical to the voice communication portion of the delayed, corrupted or lost voice packet. The voice communication may then be repaired based on the received replacement voice packet. While the voice communication is being repaired, a comfort tone may be generated so that the listener of the PTT device understands that the voice communication is being repaired.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ACCESS AND USE OF MULTIPLE ISIM OR ISIM CREDENTIALS
A method at a mobile entity for enabling use of multiple Internet Protocol (IP) Multimedia Services (IMS), the method including reading data from a plurality of IMS Subscriber Identity Modules (ISIMs) associated with the mobile entity; storing the data at the mobile entity; and binding a function at the mobile entity to one of the plurality of ISIMs.
Switched multicast video streaming
A system and method for improving media delivery and display. By utilizing a memory buffer in a DVR or similar device, and broadcasting linear content at a rate other than 1?, services like video on demand or regular broadcasters can be more versatile. For example viewers can start over without launching a separate VOD session. If part of the linear content requested is not in the buffer, a switched multicast stream can be sent to with the proper section of content. Other receivers on the network may also receive the stream and buffer the content if the content is related to what a viewer is viewing.
Method for managing floor control on a communication channel in the context of half-duplex communications
In the context of half-duplex communications in a communication network composed of a plurality of sub-networks associated respectively with supernode devices, a supernode device receiving a floor request: transmits a floor pre-grant message; determines a timer duration according to a distribution law f.sub.(t) for time period between a floor release and the next floor control, and a network-latency distribution law f.sub.(d), so that the probability of subsequent dismissing of the floor control is below a predefined threshold; and broadcasts the data transmitted in the context of the floor control, when the timer has elapsed. When a floor request with higher priority is detected before the expiration of the timer, the supernode device does not broadcast the data and notifies that the floor control is finally refused.
