Relaying device, audio-communication system and relaying method for relaying audio signal
10194372 · 2019-01-29 · ·

A relay device includes a network communication unit, a control unit, and a session table. The network communication unit receives, from terminal devices, an audio signal to which is attached information for designating the terminal device of the other party of communication. When a calling voice packet is received from one of the terminal devices, the control unit registers, in the session table, a communication session in which this terminal device and the terminal device designated by the designating information constitute participating terminals. Thereafter, the control unit transfers an audio signal received from one of the participating terminals to each of the participating terminals and, when an audio signal is received from two or more of the participating terminals at the same time, mixes the received audio signals and transmits the mixed audio signal to the participating terminals.

Method for controlling a portable radio communication device to participate in a talk group call

A method of controlling a portable radio communication device to participate in a talk group call. The method includes receiving, at the portable radio communication device, a signal including a first hash value transmitted by at least one other portable radio communication device; selecting a wireless access point that is within a communication range of the portable radio communication device; applying a hash function to a device identifier that is uniquely associated with the wireless access point to generate a second hash value; comparing the first hash value with the second hash value; and controlling the portable radio communication device to participate in a talk group call with the at least one other portable radio communication device when the first hash value matches with the second hash value.

Presence-based communications

Information is presented over a communications network. The presence of a party on a device is detected in real time. Identity of the party is confirmed based on detecting the presence of the party on the device in real time. Information to offer to the party is identified based on confirming identity of the party. A communication is pushed to the party on the device as a push communication in real time while the party is still present on the device. The information is offered in the push communication while the party is still present on the device.

Notification delivery mechanism for present viewing users

Implementations disclose a notification delivery mechanism for present viewing users. A method includes identifying a notification to be sent to a user having a plurality of user devices; determining presence of the user on a first user device of the plurality of user devices; determining whether a media player on the first user device is playing media content; and upon determining that the media player on the first user device is playing the media content, transmitting the notification to the first user device without transmitting the notification to other user devices of the plurality of user devices.

User identities for PTT and MCPTT

It is provided a method, comprising supervising if an information in a registration request is received from a registrar of a network domain, wherein the information comprises an application identity of a user of a terminal device and a network identity; storing, based on the received information, a binding between the application identity and the network identity; determining the network identity based on the binding and a received first request for establishing a communication to the terminal device; providing, based on the received first request, to the network domain, a second request for establishing the communication towards the terminal device, wherein the second request is based on the determined network identity.

METHOD AND TERMINAL FOR IMPLEMENTING COMMUNICATION

Provided is a method performed by a terminal of performing communication, the method including sending, by a terminal to which a floor is granted, media to at least one other terminal, when a predetermined event occurs in the terminal, monitoring a signal received by the terminal to grant the floor of the terminal, and when the media is received from another terminal within a predetermined time as a result of the monitoring, granting the floor to the other terminal.

CHANNEL SUMMARY FOR NEW MEMBER WHEN JOINING A TALKGROUP
20190014602 · 2019-01-10 ·

A method and apparatus for providing a summary of what is being and/or has been discussed or experienced by members of a talkgroup is provided herein. Upon a new member joining a talkgroup, or just prior to the new member joining the talkgroup, the new member will be placed on a private channel to provide the new member with knowledge on previous discussions/experiences of talkgroup members. Preferably, the prior knowledge will be conveyed to the user audibly by, for example, use of a digital assistant.

DISTRIBUTED CONTROL OF A PUSH-TO-TALK SESSION

In some examples, a first push-to-talk (PTT) client that has access to a wide area network (WAN) performs distributed control for a PTT session in conjunction with distributed control for the PTT session performed by another PTT client in the PTT session, the distributed control by the first PTT client performed without use of any PTT server.

Relay-mode and direct-mode operations for push-to-talk-over-cellular (PoC) using WiFi-technologies

A system and method for relay-mode and direct-mode operations for Push-to-talk-over-Cellular (PoC) using WiFi technologies. One or more servers interface to a wireless communications network to perform advanced voice services for mobile units therein, wherein the advanced voice services include an instant two-way half-duplex voice call within a group of the mobile units comprising a PoC call session. Both the servers and the mobile units that use the advanced group services communicate with each other using control messages within the wireless communications network. At least one of the servers switches voice messages for the advanced group services between the mobile units across the wireless communications network. At least one of the servers manages the call session by acting as an arbitrator for the call session and by controlling the sending of the control messages and the voice messages to and from the mobile units. At least one of the mobile units performs Relay-Mode or Direct-Mode operations using WiFi communications for delivery of the control messages and the voice messages to and from others of the mobile units, thereby enabling the advanced voice services when access to the wireless communications network by the others of the mobile units is limited.

Method and device for associating user with group

Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and a device for associating a user with a group. The method includes: receiving, by a first communications device, a first association request sent by a second communications device, where the first association request includes an identifier of an MCPTT user and identifiers of N MCPTT groups, and N is a positive integer; associating the MCPTT user with M MCPTT groups of the N MCPTT groups according to association subscription information of the MCPTT user; and sending a first association response to the second communications device, where the first association response is used to indicate that the MCPTT user is successfully associated with the M MCPTT groups of the N MCPTT groups, 1?M?N, and M is an integer. In this way, the MCPTT user is associated with the M MCPTT groups that the MCPTT user is interested in.
