An electronic communication method and system for providing private communications from one or more advisors to a participant of an electronic communication are provided. Exemplary methods include establishing an electronic communication between two or more participants (e.g., using a first communication session) and establishing a private session between an advisor and one or more of the participants.

A method that incorporates the subject disclosure may include, for example, identifying, by a network device comprising a processor, a bearer path through a communication network for carrying internet protocol packets associated with a calling session between a first mobile device and a second mobile device and activating, by the network device, a bridging bearer path at a nearest network element to generate a direct tunnel for carrying the internet protocol packets associated with the calling session and to modify the bearer path to a shortest bearer path, where the nearest network element comprises a network element that is communicatively coupled to both the first mobile device and the second mobile device and that is closest to the first mobile device and the second mobile device. A communication device is described comprising a media output unit, a receiver configured to receive a packet of a sequence of packets, the packet comprising a compressed header and media payload and a processor configured to detect whether decompression of the compressed header is prevented, and, if decompression of the compressed header is prevented, to determine a sequence number of the media payload, extract the media payload from the packet and forward the media payload and an indication of the sequence number to the media output unit.

A network system and the method is described that splits media identification logic and media classification and/or general data session processing/management logic into separate controllers (e.g., between the local controllers and a service controller). By separating media identification logic and media classification logic (or general media processing/management logic), the system and method allows for greater flexibility and scalability in a network system employing a service controller. In particular, by allowing the local controllers to perform media identification and to construct a single packet that characterizes/describes a media session, the system avoids the need to transmit multiple data packets of a media session to the service controller for classification of the session. Accordingly, the system includes the flexibility a service controller provides while allowing for greater scalability by separating media identification logic and media classification respectively between a local controller and the service controller.

A media file processing method, comprising: receiving a request for downloading a target streaming media file; obtaining, in response to the request, a uniform resource locator (URL) of the target streaming media file; determining, according to first pattern information of a header of the URL, whether the target streaming media file is a streaming media file of a Microsoft Media Server (MMS) Protocol; in accordance with a determination that the target streaming media file is a streaming media file of the MMS Protocol, determining, according to a preset correspondence between URL pattern information and a plurality of network communication protocols, a first network communication protocol of the plurality of network communication protocols, that corresponds to the first pattern information of the header of the URL as a target network communication protocol; and obtaining the target streaming media file from a target server by using the target network communication protocol.

A method, device and medium for determining a coding format are provided. The host controller action signal represents a host controller action at the host computer. A content modification is transmitted to the receiver computer for the real-time screen sharing and for displaying with the converted at least one screen image. The content modification corresponds to the host controller action.
