FIRE EXTINGUISHER WITH INTERNAL MIXING AND GAS CARTRIDGE
Improvements to a portable fire extinguisher are disclosed. The improvements allow for frequent and simplified maintenance of a fire extinguisher with minimal training and without need for custom equipment. The improvements include an anti-bridging mechanism that can be articulated from the exterior of the chamber to fluff, mix or stir the powder within the chamber to keep it in a liquefied state. These features will extend the service intervals while maintaining the fire extinguisher in a ready condition.

The improvements include an anti-bridging mechanism that can be articulated from the exterior of the chamber to fluff, mix or stir the powder within the chamber to keep it in a liquefied state. Additional improvements include a larger opening to more quickly fill and inspect the powder within the chamber. Another improvement includes the use of a CO.sub.2 cartridge located external to the chamber to allow easier servicing or replacement of just the CO.sub.2 cartridge as well as the ability to maintain the chamber in an un-pressurized condition, allows for non-HASMAT shipping. These features will extend the service intervals while maintaining the fire extinguisher in a ready condition.

Spring-collet mechanism for activating a fire extinguisher
A method of actuating an extinguisher system may comprise retaining a broadhead cutter in close proximity to a burst disc surface, receiving an impulse signal, actuating a spring release mechanism in response to receiving the impulse signal, driving a cutter shaft towards the burst disc surface in response to actuation, and piercing the burst disc surface via the broadhead cutter coupled to the cutter shaft.

GAS NANOBUBBLES FOR FIRE SUPPRESSION
Fire extinguishing/suppression liquids (with superior fire extinguishing efficacy) use gas nanobubbles in the liquids creating an extinguishing material for fire suppression that can be utilized for any of types of fire suppression applications. The gas nanobubbles may be infused into any type of fire suppression material, which can then be stored in a receptacle for subsequent use by any apparatus, device, or system adapted for delivering such a material to a fire or a location where a fire hazard is imminent.
Utility and appliance fire suppression system
A fire suppression system that includes a non-rigid pouch, a quantity of suppressant, a quantity of gas, and a pressurized gas source. The non-rigid pouch that includes an exterior surface and an interior space. The quantity of suppressant, the quantity of gas, and the pressurized gas source is contained within said interior space. The pressurize gas source is configured to increase the internal pressure of the non-rigid pouch by injecting gas into the interior space. The non-rigid pouch is configured to rupture when the internal pressure exceeds a predetermined threshold pressure.
