METHOD FOR DELIVERING AUDIO AND/OR VIDEO CONTENTS TO A PLAYER

A local area network includes plural content delivery network CDN receiver devices so as to enable player-equipped terminals in the local area network to receive audio and/or video contents. The disclosed method includes: obtaining capacity information from the CDN receiver devices; selecting, according to the capacity information, at least one CDN receiver device for a session of delivering an audio and/or video content to the player; when the session ends, the selected at least one CDN receiver device holds in place, during a predefined time duration, processing resources for a potential upcoming session; when another session starts before expiry of the predefined time duration, the processing resources hold in place are used for the new session. And when another session starts after expiry of the predefined time duration, reselection of at least one CDN receiver device, according to updated capacity information, is performed.

MIGRATION OF NETWORK FILE COPY OPERATIONS BETWEEN HOST COMPUTING DEVICES

A method of migrating a network file copy (NFC) operation from a first host computing device to a second host computing device includes the steps of: transmitting a first request to the first host computing device to execute the NFC operation, wherein the NFC operation comprises transferring data from a shared datastore to another datastore; after transmitting the first request, selecting the second host computing device to complete the NFC operation in place of the first host computing device, and transmitting a second request to the first host computing device to stop executing the NFC operation; after transmitting the second request, detecting a message indicating that the first host computing device completed the copying of a first portion of the data; and in response to the detection of the message, transmitting a third request to the second host computing device to perform the remainder of the NFC operation.

AUTOMATED MIGRATION OF MONOLITHIC APPLICATIONS TO CONTAINER PLATFORMS

A method of migrating an application to a container platform includes the steps of: installing a first agent that collects information about the application; detecting information about a first process of the application, wherein the detected information about the first process is received from the first agent; and based on the detected information about the first process, generating a container file including instructions for building a first container that executes the first process and a deployment file for deploying the first container for execution on the container platform.

Methods for managing the traffic associated with a client domain and associated server, client node and computer program

A method for managing traffic associated with a client domain, implemented in a server. The method includes: detecting a communication problem between the server and at least one first client node of the client domain, called failed node, identifying at least one second client node belonging to the client domain, verifying if a session between the server and the at least one second client node is active, and if no session is active: triggering a mitigation procedure on at least one IP resource associated with the client domain if at least one session is active: the use of the second client node associated with the at least one active session, called active node, to initiate an action managing the traffic associated with the client domain.

Session Management for Processing Offload

A session management function receives, from a wireless device, a first message comprising delay information for offloaded processing of data for an application. The session management function sends, to the wireless device, based on the delay information, a second message comprising offloading information.

Method and system for user plane path selection

Aspects of the disclosure provide a system and method used for allowing a path selection or reselection (hereby (re)selection). In some embodiments data packets for a session between a UE and an application system (AS) can utilize a pre-established user plane path between the AS and an access node (AN) which serves the UE. This can allow for faster session set-up times as a new user plane (UP) path need not be established for every new session if existing UP paths can be utilized. Some embodiments allow an application aware (re)selection of the user plane.
