Triggering device of an extinguishing system
Various aspects of the invention are directed to a triggering device for a quickly triggering extinguishing system for explosion suppression. In some embodiments of the present disclosure, the triggering device may include a pawl body having a pawl flank, a catch, at least one electromagnet to transmit an electromagnetic field, and a sliding pin. The sliding pin triggers an extinguishing system for explosion suppression by movement from a blocking position into a release position. In the blocking position, the sliding pin is pushed against the pawl flank of the pawl body by means of the catch and is held in the blocking position by said pawl flank. The pawl body releases the engagement of the catch and the pawl flank, and thereby releases the sliding pin, in response to the at least one electromagnet exerting the electromagnetic field on the pawl body.
A FIRE EXTINGUISHING ARRANGEMENT
A fire extinguishing arrangement for integration into a domestic clothes dryer, washing machine, refrigerator, freezer, fridge-freezer or dishwasher. The fire extinguishing arrangement has a fire extinguisher that is sized and shaped to be set in the free internal space around the inner workings of a domestic clothes dryer, washing machine, refrigerator, freezer, fridge-freezer or dishwasher. The fire extinguishing arrangement further has a trigger mechanism that is operable to trigger the fire extinguisher to release an extinguishant, a heat detector capable of operating the trigger mechanism when pre-set temperature is reached. The heat detector is further placeableat a remote location to the fire extinguisher. The fire extinguishing arrangement also can also break an electrical circuit (e.g. to cut the power source to the appliance) when the heat detector detects a pre-set temperature.
DUAL-CHAMBER FIRE EXTINGUISHER
A dual-chamber fire extinguisher includes an upper chamber in which a high pressure compressed gas is stored together with an extinguishing agent, a lower chamber in which a high pressure compressed gas is stored, a cylinder section provided between the upper chamber and the lower chamber, the cylinder section having an injection hole and an orifice prior to the injection hole on the basis of a flow direction of the extinguishing agent, a piston section provided inside the cylinder section and operated to block or open the orifice, and a solenoid-type valve unit provided in the lower chamber and operated to discharge a high pressure compressed gas stored in the lower chamber.

MULTI-REGION FIRE-EXTINGUISHING SYSTEM AND REGION BLOCKING DEVICE
The invention relates to a multi-area fire extinguishing system, having a control system, a number of fluid control lines that are configured to transmit a control pressure as a function of control commands of the control system, and a number of fluid-actuated area valves that are each in fluid communication with the control lines, wherein the area valves are configured to be actuated as a function of the received control commands. The invention proposes, in particular, a fluid-actuated area blocking apparatus which is operatively coupled to the fluid control lines and to the area valves and which is configured such that, when one or more area valves are actuated, said area blocking apparatus opens up those area valves and blocks all other area valves. The invention furthermore relates to a controller for a multi-area fire extinguishing system, to an area blocking apparatus for a fire extinguishing system, and to the use of same.

Ullage pressure-driven valve for fire suppression
A fire suppression system includes a feed port and a channel to couple the feed port to an actuation chamber. A solenoid valve controllably blocks a connection between the feed port and the channel. Pressure from the feed port builds up in the actuation chamber based on the solenoid valve unblocking the connection. A piston is in communication with the actuation chamber. The system also includes an inlet port closed off by a disc. The piston travels through the inlet port and burst the disc based on the pressure in the actuation chamber. An outlet port is coupled to the inlet port.

Stove top fire extinguishing device
An apparatus is disclosed for extinguishing a stovetop fire over a stovetop having a first burner, the apparatus including a container detachably mountable to a microwave positioned above the stove top. A supply of fire suppressant material is retained within the container. A heat responsive actuator is disposed on the container. When the container is mounted to the microwave over the first burner, and the fire actuates the heat responsive actuator, at least a portion of the supply of fire suppressant material falls from the container toward the first burner.
