ULLAGE PRESSURE-DRIVEN VALVE FOR FIRE SUPPRESSION

A fire suppression system includes a feed port and a channel to couple the feed port to an actuation chamber. A solenoid valve controllably blocks a connection between the feed port and the channel. Pressure from the feed port builds up in the actuation chamber based on the solenoid valve unblocking the connection. A piston is in communication with the actuation chamber. The system also includes an inlet port closed off by a disc. The piston travels through the inlet port and burst the disc based on the pressure in the actuation chamber. An outlet port is coupled to the inlet port.

Stove top fire extinguishing device

An apparatus is disclosed for extinguishing a stovetop fire over a stovetop having a first burner, the apparatus including a container detachably mountable to a microwave positioned above the stove top. A supply of fire suppressant material is retained within the container. A heat responsive actuator is disposed on the container. When the container is mounted to the microwave over the first burner, and the fire actuates the heat responsive actuator, at least a portion of the supply of fire suppressant material falls from the container toward the first burner.

Advanced misting delivery system, methods, and materials

An embodiment of the present invention includes an advanced adjustable density misting delivery system (AMDS) for detecting and neutralizing a fire. The AMDS includes a bladder containing a fire suppressant material, a pump operatively connected to the bladder via a tube, and a nozzle operatively connected to the pump and the bladder via the tube. The AMDS also includes a controller electrically connected to the pump and a sensor in communication with the controller, where the sensor is configured to detect a parameter that indicates the presence of the fire. The controller is configured to transition the pump from a deactivated state to an activated state when the sensor detects the parameter, such that in the deactivated state the pump does not operate, and in the activated state the pump causes the fire suppressant to flow from the bladder, through the tube, and out the nozzle.
