AUTOMATIC GENERATION OF UNIQUE IDENTIFIERS FOR DISTRIBUTED DIRECTORY MANAGEMENT USERS

A controller is configured to perform various steps including receiving a plurality of user identification values. Another step includes determining a first range of the plurality of user identification values, the first range including a first minimum user identification value and a first maximum user identification value. Another step includes assigning a first user identification value to a first user from the first range of the plurality of user identification values to a first user based on the first minimum and maximum user identification values. Another step includes determining a second user identification value from the first range of the plurality of user identification values by incrementing the first user identification value based on the first minimum and maximum identification values. Yet another step includes assigning the second user identification value to a second user.

Method for making friends anonymously under instant messaging communications in order to protect a real personal identity

After a friendship pairing process is executed according to a phone directory, send a friendship request message, create at least one first platform identity by the first user, and the first user uses a first platform identity of the at least one first platform identity to make friends with the second user having a platform identity. The first user does not have any platform identity before the first user creates the at least one first platform identity.

GENERATING AND MANAGING NAMES OF INSTANCES

A method includes provisioning, by a cloud provisioning server, a first instance based on a template. The template belongs to a tenant, and the first instance includes one of an instantiated software and an instantiated computing service. The method also includes determining a prefix. The determined prefix is shared by a second instance that is also provisioned based on the template of the tenant. The method also includes generating a name for the first provisioned instance. The generated name includes the determined prefix.

Embodiments of the present technology relate to a method for applying a security policy to an application session, comprising: determining, by a security gateway, a first user identity and a second user identity from a data packet for an application session; obtaining, by the security gateway, a security policy for the application session; and applying the security policy to the application session by the security gateway. The user identity may be a network user identity or an application user identity recognized from packets of the application session. The security policy may comprise a network traffic policy mapped and/or a document access policy mapped to the user identity, where the network traffic policy is applied to the application session. The security gateway may further generate a security report concerning the application of the security policy to the application session.

VOICE AND TEXT GROUP CHAT DISPLAY MANAGEMENT TECHNIQUES FOR WIRELESS MOBILE TERMINALS

A single content region in a chat history display is used to display entries representative of a plurality of messages corresponding to all chat histories for all of chat threads currently engaged in by a given mobile terminal. Additionally, a buddy list display supports management of chat buddies, a detail view display allows otherwise truncated messages to be displayed, and a text message editor display supports the composition of text messages. Each chat user may designate public display identifiers for purposes of identification to other chat users. Additionally, each user may designate private display identifiers for each of his/her buddies, which private display identifiers may be used to replace the public display identifiers for that user's buddies when displayed on the user's mobile terminal. In this manner, the use of speech and text based group chatting and similar services in wireless communication environments is more readily enabled.

Provisioning tool for a content delivery network (CDN)

A tool that allows a CDN customer, partner, or other authorized entity to create a DNS canonical name (CNAME) on the content delivery network without having to contact the content delivery network service provider directly.

ALIAS STRINGS

Examples disclosed herein relate, among other things, to a computing device. The computing device may include an alias engine to obtain an identifier of an electronic device, to determine, based on the identifier, at least one dictionary term, and generate, based on the dictionary term, an alias string. The computing device may also include an output engine to store the alias string in association with the electronic device.
