CLIENT DEVICE BASED SOLUTION FOR HANDLING MAC RANDOMIZATION

A system and method are provided for a network device for use with a client device having a hostname and a MAC address. The network device contains a memory that has a second hostname and a second MAC address stored within the memory. The second MAC address corresponds to the second hostname. The memory also contains a processor configured to execute instructions stored on the memory to cause the network device to: receive, from the client device, the hostname and the MAC address; determine whether the MAC address is randomized; provide an instruction to the client device to inform a user of the client device that the client device hostname is registered when the hostname matches the second hostname and the MAC address is randomized.

Voice and text group chat display management techniques for wireless mobile terminals

A single content region in a chat history display is used to display entries representative of a plurality of messages corresponding to all chat histories for all of chat threads currently engaged in by a given mobile terminal. Additionally, a buddy list display supports management of chat buddies, a detail view display allows otherwise truncated messages to be displayed, and a text message editor display supports the composition of text messages. Each chat user may designate public display identifiers for purposes of identification to other chat users. Additionally, each user may designate private display identifiers for each of his/her buddies, which private display identifiers may be used to replace the public display identifiers for that user's buddies when displayed on the user's mobile terminal. In this manner, the use of speech and text based group chatting and similar services in wireless communication environments is more readily enabled.

Scalable address resolution in a communications environment

A generic address resolution system facilitates communications among multiple network applications with heterogeneous addressing mechanisms, thereby allowing the network applications to interoperate with each other and/or with modules for providing enhanced functionalities. The address resolution system includes a resource mapping module that modularizes the components needed for address resolution and abstracts content from the underlying address types and content used by the network applications. The address resolution system includes a context engine that analyzes the addressing data to be resolved, selects one or more appropriate destination network applications based on contextual rules, and creates the application mapping template for the end-end routing of the communications among the network applications.

Cloud provider, service, and tenant classification in cloud computing

A cloud provider supports cloud-based services accessible to tenants of the cloud provider over a network. In the cloud provider, classification information including a cloud-identifier to identify the cloud provider, service-identifiers each to identify a respective one of the services, and tenant-identifiers each to identify a respective one of the tenants is maintained. The classification information is distributed within the cloud provider, including to the services, and may also be distributed outside of the cloud provider, to enable a respective tenant to exchange IP packets with, and thereby access, a respective service based on the classification information, wherein each IP packet includes the cloud-identifier, the service-identifier of the respective service, and the tenant-identifier of the respective tenant.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DEEP LINKING OF SAAS APPLICATION VIA EMBEDDED BROWSER

Embodiments described include systems and methods of determining one or more links of one or more network applications to access to perform a task is provided. The method can include receiving, by a server, a request from a client application on a client device. The request can identify a name of a task to be performed. The client application can include an embedded browser for accessing one or more network applications. The method can include determining, by the server, one or more links of the one or more network applications hosted on one or more third party servers that are to be used to perform a task identified by the name of the task. The method can include causing, responsive to the request and to perform the task, the embedded browser of the client application on the client device to access the one or more links of the one or more network applications hosted on the one or more third party servers.

The present disclosure relates to a 5G or pre-5G communication system to be provided for supporting a data transmission rate higher than that of a 4G communication system such as LTE. A method, according to one embodiment of the present invention, is a method for authenticating an electronic device which receives an edge computing service from an authentication server of a mobile communication system, wherein the method may comprise the steps of: performing first authentication (403) of the electronic device by means of authentication and key agreement (AKA) with the electronic device, and, when the first authentication is successful, providing first authentication information to the electronic device; and performing second authentication (411) for the edge computing service of the electronic device, and, when the second authentication is successful, providing the electronic device with second authentication information which includes an access token for authentication of the edge computing service.

Resource query processing

A device may be configured to receive, process, forward, and/or respond to one or more resource queries. For example, the device may determine whether multiple queries are satisfied by a multicast response. The device may receive a first query and a second query directed to a resource, The first and the second query may comprise a structure proxy rule identifier (sPRID). The device may determine the similarity between the two queries. For example, the similarity determination may be based on the sPRID of the two queries. The device may determine whether a response that satisfies the first query also satisfies the second query, which may be based on a response to the first query and information comprised within the sPRID of the two queries. If the response satisfies both queries, the device may multicast the response.

Networking connection management based on container identification

Described herein are systems, methods, and software to enhance packet . In one implementation, a host computing element identifies a packet from a process executing on the host computing element. In response to identifying the packet, the host computing element determines whether the packet originates from a container namespace corresponding to a container on the host computing element or a host namespace corresponding to the host computing element. If the packet originates from a container namespace, the host computing element may determine supplemental information for the container associated with the container namespace, and process the packet based on the supplemental information.
