Fire-Extinguishing Facility, Fire-Extinguishing System Comprising Same, and Method for Determining the Extent of a Fire
The invention relates to a fire-extinguishing facility (1) comprising an extinguishing fluid line (13,15) for transporting an extinguishing fluid, a plurality of sprinklers (3, 3) connected to the extinguishing fluid line in a fluid-guiding manner which are closed in a standby state and open in an extinguishing state in order to supply the extinguishing fluid, and a flow-measuring device (5) associated with the extinguishing fluid line (13, 15).
According to the invention, the flow-measuring device (5) is designed to approximately detect a volume flow of the extinguishing fluid transported in the extinguishing fluid line (13, 15), and an evaluation unit (7) is provided and designed to assign a number of open sprinklers (3) to the approximately detected volume flow.
MODULAR VALVE ASSEMBLY
A wet piping system modular valve assembly includes a single piece valve body with a check valve within the valve body. The check valve is movable between a closed position and an open position according to a pressure differential across the check valve. A drain valve is removably mounted to the valve body and fluidly connected with the valve body downstream of the check valve. A mechanically independent flow detection switch is removably mounted to the valve body and fluidly connected with the valve body upstream of the drain valve.
Fire extinguishing system and diagnostic methods
A fire extinguishing system prevents fires or other emergency conditions on a heating device, such as a stove. The system uses sensors to detect the emergency and alert an operator. The system dumps lire suppressant material onto the heating device. The system also may shut-off power to the heating device. An alarm circuit and associated functionality assures the system is in working order by using diagnostic tests and other checks.
ALARM VALVE STATION OF A FIRE EXTINGUISHING SYSTEM, AND FIRE EXTINGUISHING SYSTEM
The invention relates to an alarm valve station (1), in particular a wet alarm valve station, of a fire extinguishing system (100), having an alarm valve (3) with an extinguishing fluid inlet (5) and an extinguishing fluid outlet (7), wherein the alarm valve (3) has a closing body that can be moved back and forth between a blocking state and a release state, wherein the fluid inlet chamber and the fluid outlet chamber are separated from one another in the blocking state and communicate with one another fluidically in the release state, an alarm triggering device (9) for triggering a fire alarm, which is connected with the alarm valve (3), and a delay container (11a, 11b) in order to delay triggering of the fire alarm, wherein the alarm valve (3) is fluidically connected with a fluid inlet (13) of the delay container, and a fluid outlet (15a-15c) of the delay container (11a, 11b) is fluidically connected with the alarm triggering device (9).
The invention proposes that the delay container (11a, 11b) have several fluid inlets (13) and/or several fluid outlets (15a-15c).

INTEGRATED FLUID CONTROL VALVE AND VALVE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY
Systems and methods of an integrated fluid control valve and valve actuator assembly are provided. The assembly includes a pressure operated fluid control valve for controlling the flow of liquid from a liquid supply piping system into a sprinkler piping system of a fire protection system when transitioning the fire protection system from a stand-by state to an actuated state. The control valve defines a valve chamber for holding a pressurized fluid to prevent the flow of fluid through the control valve. A valve actuator is coupled to the fluid control valve housing for setting of the fluid control valve in an unactuated ready state and for operating the fluid control valve automatically and/or manually. The assembly has a common supply port to supply fluid to the control valve and the actuator and a common discharge port connected to multiple devices that can place the system in an actuated state.
