INTEGRATED FLUID CONTROL VALVE AND VALVE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY
Systems and methods of an integrated fluid control valve and valve actuator assembly are provided. The assembly includes a pressure operated fluid control valve for controlling the flow of liquid from a liquid supply piping system into a sprinkler piping system of a fire protection system when transitioning the fire protection system from a stand-by state to an actuated state. The control valve defines a valve chamber for holding a pressurized fluid to prevent the flow of fluid through the control valve. A valve actuator is coupled to the fluid control valve housing for setting of the fluid control valve in an unactuated ready state and for operating the fluid control valve automatically and/or manually. The assembly has a common supply port to supply fluid to the control valve and the actuator and a common discharge port connected to multiple devices that can place the system in an actuated state.
Retrofit Self-Annunciating Sprinkler
A water-powered residential fire suppression and alarm system is provided. The system comprises a sprinkler head, a water-powered or electrically-powered alarm, a fire-resistant transfer line assembly, and a housing assembly. The sprinkler activates upon excessive heat. The transfer line assembly provides an unclosable channel connecting an existing residential water source with the sprinkler head. The transfer line assembly includes a fire-resistant transfer line connected to a multi-port coupling which connects to the existing water source. The transfer line assembly also provides water to the alarm. The housing assembly has a housing with a vertical span of about 3-12 inches. The sprinkler head and alarm are mounted to the housing assembly and the transfer line assembly is connected to the housing assembly. When water is provided to the coupling and the sprinkler head activates, water flows through the transfer line, activating the alarm.
MODULAR VALVE ASSEMBLY
A wet piping system modular valve assembly includes a single piece valve body with a check valve within the valve body. The check valve is movable between a closed position and an open position according to a pressure differential across the check valve. A drain valve is removably mounted to the valve body and fluidly connected with the valve body downstream of the check valve. A mechanically independent flow detection switch is removably mounted to the valve body and fluidly connected with the valve body upstream of the drain valve.

Fire sprinkler waterflow switch with an integrated NAC power source
The conceived invention simplifies current art methods of incorporating fire notification appliances with fire sprinkler systems by replacing vane and pressure type of waterflow switches with a single water driven generator having dual functionality. It includes power generation and activation when water moves through a sprinkler system. A notification appliance may use audible, visible, or other stimuli to alert the occupants of a fire. The system also includes a waterflow switch output to trigger an external fire/security alarm system when required and a digital controller with a delay timer to prevent false alarms due to water pressure fluctuations. Another embodiment includes both alarm monitoring and circuit supervision to enhance operation and system maintenance.
ALARM VALVE STATION OF A FIRE EXTINGUISHING SYSTEM, IN PARTICULAR A SPRINKLER OR SPRAY WATER EXTINGUISHING SYSTEM, AND FIRE EXTINGUISHING SYSTEM
An alarm valve station includes a fire extinguishing system valve (1) having a housing (2, 3) which has a fluid inlet chamber (8), a fluid outlet chamber (9) and a closing body (4a) reciprocable between a blocking state and a release state, wherein the fluid inlet chamber (8) and the fluid outlet chamber (9) are separated from each other in the blocking state and communicate with each other in fluid-conducting relationship in the release state, one or more sensors, and an electronic evaluation unit (50) which is integrated in the housing (2, 3), arranged externally on the housing or arranged in the proximity of the fire extinguishing system valve (1), wherein the evaluation unit (50) is connected in signal-conducting relationship to the sensor or sensors for receiving data, is adapted for data processing into: state information and/or operating instructions and is adapted to transmit the state information and/or operating instructions to a display unit (40).

An unclosable channel connects the alarm with the sprinkler head. The transfer line assembly includes a fire-resistant transfer line connected the alarm and to a multi-port coupling. The multi-port coupling also connects to an existing water fixture. The transfer line assembly is unclosable. The housing assembly has a housing with a vertical span of about 3-12 inches. The sprinkler head and alarm are mounted to the housing assembly and the transfer line assembly is connected to the housing assembly. The transfer line assembly connects to the sprinkler head directly as well as through the alarm. When water is provided to the coupling and the sprinkler head activates, water flows through the transfer line, activating the alarm.
FIRE EXTINGUISHING SYSTEM AND DIAGNOSTIC METHODS
A fire extinguishing system prevents fires or other emergency conditions on a heating device, such as a stove. The system uses sensors to detect the emergency and alert an operator. The system dumps lire suppressant material onto the heating device. The system also may shut-off power to the heating device. An alarm circuit and associated functionality assures the system is in working order by using diagnostic tests and other checks.
