Carrier identification code delivery to an egress network of a telecommunications network
Aspects of the present disclosure involve systems, methods, computer program products, and the like, for utilizing a CIC value field in signaling information of a communication to provide an identification of the ingress network to an egress or receiving network of a long distance telecommunications network. The system and method provides for the provisioning of a signaling CIC for an ingress trunkgroup or network to a telecommunications network for downstream signaling purposes by overriding a received CIC value with a provisioned CIC value specific to the ingress network. This provisioned CIC value identifies the ingress network to the long distance network to the egress network for use by the egress network.
System and Method for Determining Trust for SIP Messages
A method for performing initial registration is provided. The method includes receiving a server timeout message, the server timeout message including at least a field set to a value equal to a value received during a first registration. The method further includes initiating restoration procedures by performing an initial registration.
Method for checking change in wireless connection type of terminal in third-party application server
The present disclosure relates to a communication technique for converging IoT technology with 5G communication systems for supporting higher data transmission rates than 4G systems and to a system thereof. The present disclosure can be applied to intelligent services (e.g., smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car or connected car, health care, digital education, retail business, security- and safety-related services, etc.) on the basis of 5G communication technology and IoT-related technologies. The method for operating a policy and charging function (PCF) according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: receiving a message which is generated by an application function (AF) and requests a change in the traffic route of terminal; checking priority information of the terminal, regarding services provided by the AF, included in the message; and changing the protocol data unit (PDU) session connection of the terminal on the basis of the priority information.
Game console user interface with application previews
Techniques for previewing and presenting content of different applications in a user interface are described. In an example, a computer system determines a presentation template defined for a page application. The page application is configured to present a page about a target application, and the page includes a preview area and a body area. The system receives a user selection of an icon in a menu, whereby the icon corresponds to the target application. The system then presents in the user interface contents based on data stored in local memory, whereby the contents are presented according to an arrangement specified by the presentation template for the preview area. The system then receives a user request for additional information about the target application, and subsequently presents at least a portion of the body area of the page based on an execution of the page application.
Call center mobile messaging
A method and system enables communications with a call center via SMS/MMS and provides an additional communications channel to communicate with the call center in addition to voice, Internet email/IM chat and fax. The call center obtains location information and images from a customer using SMS messages and web pages via a messaging hub.
Utilizing sip messages to determine the status of a remote terminal in VOIP communication systems
There is a growing problem in correctional facility telecommunications systems in which parties on a voice call may connect inmate callers with restricted parties. Prison communication systems monitor calls to prevent such activity, but in Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) environments such systems may fail to detect this activity. The present disclosure provides details of a system and method for using SIP messages common in VoIP environments to detect illicit activity initiated by a party on a voice call within a controlled environment. Scenarios are detected in which a called party connects an inmate caller to a restricted party via three-way call conferencing, call forwarding, or other call features. Corrective actions are then taken when such activity is detected, such as call blocking or alerting officials illicit activity is occurring.
IN-PERSON TRANSACTION PROCESSING SYSTEM
Systems and methods for managing an in-person transaction process are provided. In example embodiments, a network system receives, from a first user device, information regarding a service or an item. Using the received information, the network system generates an unpublished listing and associates the unpublished listing with a session identifier. The unpublished listing is temporarily stored to a datastore. The network system then generates a scannable code that provides a uniform resource identifier (URI) associated with the session identifier. The scannable code is presented on the first user device, whereby the scannable code can be scanned by a second user device to access, via the URI, a transaction user interface associated with the session identifier. In response to a request to access the transaction user interface triggered by the second user device scanning the scannable code, the transaction user interface is displayed on the second user device.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING MEDIA RESOURCES IN A COMMUNICATION NETWORK
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, providing a request associated with a call session to a server, wherein the request includes capability information associated with user equipment. A codec is identified according to the capability information to obtain an identified codec, which facilitates media service to the user equipment. The media service is accessed from a media resource function, which in turn, is accessed by the server responsive to the identified codec. An operable resource identifier is identified responsive to a search of a codec table, wherein the server accesses the operable resource identifier associated with the media resource function from a domain name server responsive to the resource identifier not being available at the codec table. Other embodiments are disclosed.
Message routing to devices with non-routable addresses
The disclosed system provides for machine-to-machine routing of messages (e.g., text messages, binary information, etc.) between devices (e.g., external applications, IoT devices, etc.) using non-routable identifiers. The systems and methods publish an application programming interface (API) configured to receive (non-routable) identification information of a target device from an external application (e.g., an IoT Service Provider) that calls the API, determines whether a target device associated with the identification information is a subscriber of a telecommunications service provider that provides telecommunications plans to subscribers of the telecommunications service provider, verifies that the external application is authorized to transmit messages to the target device, and translates the non-routable identification information to a mapped device address that can be used to determine a location of the target device so that the message can be delivered to the target device.
