Method and apparatus for extending the use of an IMS oriented handling of telecommunications services
A method for extending IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS)-oriented handling of telecommunications services within a telecommunications network for a subscriber using circuit switched (CS) connectivity, wherein an identification information of the subscriber is natively lacking an IMS identity and/or IMS profile within the telecommunications network, includes: generating, at least temporarily, by an identity management functionality of the telecommunications network, an IMS identity and/or IMS profile with respect to the subscriber.
METHODS FOR PERFORMING HYBRID REPEAT REQUEST (HARQ) IN CELLULAR OPERATIONS OVER UNLICENSED BANDS
The various embodiments of the present invention disclose a method and system for performing Hybrid Repeat Request (HARQ) in cellular operations over unlicensed bands. The method comprises of checking, by an eNodeB (eNB), whether an unlicensed channel is occupied by a User Equipment (UE), initiating transmission of Redundancy Versions (RVs) corresponding to a HARQ process on the unlicensed channel if the unlicensed channel is occupied by the UE, verifying if a channel occupancy period is over and an acknowledgement for the HARQ process is received from the unlicensed channel and initiating a Redundancy Version (RV) bundling for retransmission of the bundled RVs without awaiting an acknowledgment for the HARQ process from the unlicensed channel, if the channel occupancy period is not over.
Method and system for efficiently locating in a database a user profile in an IMS network
Method and system for processing a request associated with a user from a requesting node to an answering node in a telecommunications network. A repository is associated with the answering node, the repository including a data structure including a plurality of user profiles associated with a plurality of users. In the answering node a user profile of the plurality of user profiles is associated with the user. The method comprising the steps of assigning a unique user index to each user profile in the data structure, wherein the user index is representative of the location of the user profile within the data structure, communicating at least one user index to the requesting node, incorporating the user index in the request by the requesting node, transmitting the request from the requesting node to the answering node, and retrieving the user profile associated with the user associated with the request by the answering node on the basis of the user index.
METHOD, APPARATUS AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT FOR PROVISIONING MULTIPLE USER IDENTITIES IN AN IP MULTIMEDIA SUBSYSTEM
A mechanism for an apparatus in a communication network is described. The mechanism comprises receiving provisioning from a second apparatus, wherein said provisioning comprising at least a public identity and a pre-defined range of private identity associated with the public identity, receiving a request comprising a first public identity and its associated private identity from a third apparatus, determining the first public identity already exists in the apparatus, determining the received private identity is not identical to any private identity already provisioned in the apparatus, determining the received private identity is not identical to any private identity in a temporary profile, determining the received private identity is within a pre-defined range of private identity associated with the first public identity, creating a temporary private identity identical to the received private identity and a temporary profile for the received private identity.
METHODS AND APPARATUS TO PERFORM NETWORK-BASED MONITORING OF MEDIA ACCESSES
An example apparatus includes: at least one memory; instructions in the apparatus; and processor circuitry to execute the instructions to: determine whether a census impression record corresponds to a panelist impression record by: comparing a first internet protocol (IP) address of the panelist impression record with a second IP address of the census impression record; and comparing a first timestamp of the panelist impression record with a second timestamp of the census impression record; and send a comparison result to a computer of an audience measurement entity, the comparison result indicative of a match confirming the census impression record corresponds to the panelist impression record of the audience measurement entity.
Multiple parallel WebRTC accesses to IMS
It is provided a method, comprising monitoring, for each of plural attempts of a web identity to register for an internet protocol multimedia service, if the respective attempt is received; generating, for each of the plural attempts if the respective attempt is received, a respective private user identification based on the web identity and a respective distinguishing identifier, wherein probability that two of the private user identifications have a same value is less than a predefined limit; providing the respective private user identification in response to the respective attempt.
ESTABLISHING A SESSION INITIATION PROTOCOL SESSION
The present disclosure describes methods and systems for establishing a Session Initiation Protocol Session. One method includes transmitting a first message requesting authentication configuration information; in response to the first message, receiving a second message that includes the authentication configuration information; transmitting a third message that includes authentication information based upon the received authentication configuration information; receiving an authentication challenge request that is formatted according to the second protocol; and in response to receiving the authentication challenge request, transmitting an authentication response to the second network node.
Methods and apparatus to perform network-based monitoring of media accesses
An example system includes: at least one memory; programmable circuitry; and instructions to cause the programmable circuitry to: obtain a public internet protocol (IP) address associated with a household and a timestamp in response to a census impression request indicating a media access on a first client device of the household; obtain a private IP address associated with the first client device; cause storing of the public IP address, the private IP address, and the timestamp in a panelist impression record in association with a panelist identifier, the panelist identifier corresponding to a panelist audience member, the panelist audience member enrolled in a panel of an audience measurement entity; send the census impression request to a census system; and send the panelist impression record to a meter collection system.
METHODS, SYSTEMS, AND APPARATUSES FOR VOICE RESTORATION FOR ORIGINATING CALLS
Systems and methods are described herein for call processing. A failed call attempt with a primary network computing device may be restored by a secondary network computing device. The call may be restored without disconnecting the call session or requiring the call originator to be registered with the secondary network computing device. Restoration information may be placed at various network computing devices in a system to restore failed calls. The restoration information may comprise data associated with a user registration. The secondary network computing device may receive the restoration information when the primary network computing device is not responding. The secondary network computing device may process the call.
