AUTOMATIC NITROGEN FILL FOR A FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEM
20180214725 · 2018-08-02 ·

A gas supply system primarily designed for use with fire sprinkler systems which includes a control system which uses flow demand to automatically determine the mode of operation and switch between providing air and nitrogen. The gas supply system can operate either in standard nitrogen generation mode where nitrogen is supplied to the reservoir tank and/or sprinkler system or in a bypass mode, where sufficient pressure is only obtained by directly supplying air. The gas supply system can provide for improved safety in operation as well as the ability to operate the sprinkler system primarily when filled with nitrogen supervisory gas.

DRY SPRINKLER SYSTEM MANIFOLD ADAPTER

A manifold assembly is mountable to a piping manifold for a dry sprinkler system having a non-wet valve assembly separating pressurized gas on a downstream side thereof from a water supply on an upstream side thereof. The manifold assembly includes a single piece body having an inlet for removably coupling to, and receiving water from, an upstream wet standpipe, and an outlet for removably coupling to, and delivering water to, the non-wet valve assembly. A control valve assembly is mounted to the body and a mechanically independent flow detection switch is mounted to the body. Each of a test and drain valve and a pressure relief valve is fluidly connected with the body downstream of the control valve assembly and upstream of the outlet.

Modular data center

A modular data machine room includes a data cabinet subsystem, a cooling subsystem and a power distribution subsystem. The data cabinet subsystem includes two columns of data cabinet groups, and each column of data cabinet group includes at least one data cabinet. The cooling subsystem includes at least one cooling unit, and the cooling unit is arranged in the two columns of data cabinet groups. Each data cabinet and cooling unit is connected with the power distribution subsystem through an interface. The machine room further includes a sealing subsystem, which seals a cold/hot channel between the two columns of data cabinet groups. The machine room has a short construction period and a high cooling efficiency.

FLEXIBLE DRY SPRINKLER

A fire sprinkler head has a valve with an X-brace latch, and includes a flexible conduit. A sprinkler nozzle is secured to a first end of the flexible conduit. The sprinkler nozzle includes a first fitting, a sprinkler orifice and fusible element. A second fitting is secured to the second end of the flexible conduit and includes the valve. The valve has a valve element which is moveable from a latched position to an unlatched position. A flexible link extends from the sprinkler nozzle to the X-brace valve latch. Breaking of the fusible element releases the flexible link to move from the latched position to the unlatched position, releasing the valve for flow there-through.

Pressure controller for fire protection system maintained under vacuum, and related method

The invention is directed to a pressure controller and a method for monitoring and controlling the pressure level in a fire protection piping network maintained under vacuum pressure and for detecting a positive pressure variation in the network. The rate of pressure increase is used to detect the opening of a sprinkler head in the sprinkler piping network.

INTEGRATED FLUID CONTROL VALVE AND VALVE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY
20180147433 · 2018-05-31 ·

Systems and methods of an integrated fluid control valve and valve actuator assembly are provided. The assembly includes a pressure operated fluid control valve for controlling the flow of liquid from a liquid supply piping system into a sprinkler piping system of a fire protection system when transitioning the fire protection system from a stand-by state to an actuated state. The control valve defines a valve chamber for holding a pressurized fluid to prevent the flow of fluid through the control valve. A valve actuator is coupled to the fluid control valve housing for setting of the fluid control valve in an unactuated ready state and for operating the fluid control valve automatically and/or manually. The assembly has a common supply port to supply fluid to the control valve and the actuator and a common discharge port connected to multiple devices that can place the system in an actuated state.

Gas extinguishing system
09956444 · 2018-05-01 · ·

The present invention relates to a gas extinguishing system for a predefined protected area, particularly small-parts storage systems, wherein the gas extinguishing system comprises an inert gas source and a diffuser system fluidly connected to the inert gas source by a tubing system. The diffuser system comprises a diffuser tube having a plurality of drill holes provided in the surface of the diffuser tube and a pressure reducer allocated to the diffuser tube. In order to be able to achieve non-interactiveness with respect to the diffuser system from the standpoint of the design of the gas extinguishing system, the inventive provides for designing the diffuser system such that a primary baffle pressure measured in absolute bar is at least twice as high as the internal pressure of the diffuser tube during the flooding period dimensioned for the protected area and that the internal pressure of the diffuser tube during the dimensioned flooding period is at a maximum of 2 bar absolute.

Control valve assembly

A control valve assembly includes a valve body having inlet and outlet ends, and an endless valve seat therebetween. A clapper disk is pivotably mounted within the valve body, and is pivotable between a sealingly closed position and an open position according to a pressure differential across the clapper disk. A U-shaped arm is rotatably supported in the valve body, and rotatable between a first position, wherein a bight of the U-shaped arm is positioned out of an operational range of movement of the clapper disk such that the clapper disk is freely movable between the open and closed positions thereof, and a second position, wherein the bight of the U-shaped arm engages and maintains the clapper disk in the sealingly closed position thereof. A selectively rotatable control arm operatively coupled with the U-shaped arm and utilized to move the U-shaped arm between the first and second positions thereof.

Sprinkler Assembly Connector for Flexible Conduit
20180099167 · 2018-04-12 ·

Provided herein is a sprinkler system including a compact-design connector coupling a flexible conduit to a sprinkler body. In one approach a sprinkler assembly includes a t-joint connector, a sprinkler body (e.g., a dry-type pendent body) coupled to the t-joint connector at a first opening of the t-joint connector, and a flexible conduit coupled to the t-joint connector at a second opening of the t-joint coupling. The sprinkler assembly may further include an adjustable bracket coupling the sprinkler body to a building structure, such as a ceiling or wall. The t-joint connector eliminates the use of an elbow-type connection to a flexible hose, thus enabling use in a freezer/cooler application, while also reducing the overall footprint of the sprinkler assembly.
