Device and method for intra-ship communication
The present invention relates to an interphone device for use in ships, the interphone device comprising: an input/output unit to which a voice is input or from which a voice is output; a transmission/reception circuit unit which receives the voice from the input/output unit and provides a first signal obtained by encoding and modulating the received voice; and an antenna which is attached to the metal hull of the ship, forms an electromagnetic field in the metal hull, and carries the first signal received from the transmission/reception circuit unit by the electromagnetic field, so as to propagate the first signal.
SMART LOCK SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A door lock system can comprise a door lock movable between a locked state and an unlocked state. The door lock system can detect a first indication suggestive of a presence of a mobile computing device of a visitor. The door lock system can also detect a second indication suggestive of an identity of the visitor. Further, the door lock system can validate that the first indication and the second indication are associated with a known identity of the visitor.
ALERT SYSTEM, DELIVERY SYSTEM AND METHOD AND DOOR BELL SYSTEM
An alert device includes electronic circuitry and at least a first antenna. The circuitry is designed for sending out a first signal, for wireless communication with at least a first hand held communication device, and at least a second signal for wireless communication with at least a second hand held communication device. The second signal differs from the first signal, preferably in at least one of transmitting energy, transmitting frequency, coding and pulse length. The device includes a switch for switching between: a first mode in which only the first signal is transmitted and a second mode wherein the first and second signal are transmitted; or a first mode wherein only the first signal is transmitted and a second mode wherein only the second signal is transmitted.
METHOD FOR ADAPTING AN ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT WITH A CONTROLLING DEVICE
The invention concerns a controlling device (10) having terminals for connection to an electrical circuit (11) comprising: a first user device (12) energized by a first voltage power supply and configured to switch between at least an on-state and an off-state, a second user device (13) configured to be connected in series with the first device (12) and energized by a second voltage or current power supply, the controlling device (10) being configured to be connected in parallel of the first user device (12) and to: absorb a leakage current flowing through the electrical circuit (11) below a first predetermined threshold, and control the voltage or current between the terminals of the controlling device (10), so as to ensure that the second user device (13) is supplied with the second voltage or current.
DOORBELL COMMUNICATION AND ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS
A doorbell system can be used to block a first electricity that is less than a first threshold from entering an electronic chime. By blocking the first electricity from entering the electronic chime, the electronic chime is not allowed to emit a notification sound. The doorbell system can also be used to allow a second electricity that is greater than the first threshold to enter the electronic chime. By allowing the second electricity to enter the electronic chime, this can allow the electronic chime to emit a notification sound in response to a visitor being present.
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR PLACING CALL USING QR CODE
A Methods and application for mobile devices that allow users to engage in an audio and/or video call using QR code. The system comprises a call service system and a mobile app to be executed on the user's mobile device for initiating a call and receiving a call. Contact information of one or more call recipient are recorded in a ping tag. The QR code is generated from a network call-placing process identifying the said ping tag as the call destination. Using a default camera app on a mobile device, the present invention allows a caller to simply scans QR code to place a call to call recipient(s) associated with the ping tag of the present invention through the call service system.
Door Integrated Motion Sensing, Illuminating, Image Capturing, And Communicating Assembly
A door integrated motion sensing, illuminating, image capturing, and communicating assembly for providing security for an egress opening includes a door, which is mountable in an egress doorframe of a structure. A control module, which comprises a transceiver, is attached to the door. A sensor, a set of bulbs, and a camera are attached to the door and are operationally engaged to the control module. The sensor can detect motion in an area that is external to the structure and proximate to the door. The sensor detects the motion and signals the control module, enabling the control module to selectively actuate the bulbs, the camera, and the transceiver, to illuminate the area, capture an image of the area, and to communicate an alert signal and the image, respectively, to an electronic device of a user.
Monitoring and locating tracked objects using audio/video recording and communication devices
Monitoring and locating tracked objects using audio/video (A/V) recording and communication devices in accordance with various embodiments of the present disclosure are provided. In one embodiment, a method for monitoring an object using a smart-home hub device in network communication with A/V recording and communication devices is provided, the method comprising: associating a tag having tag data compatible for use in a low-power wide-area network (LPWAN) with at least one tracked object to be located when missing; activating the smart-home hub device to monitor the at least one tracked object on a premises by listening for the tag data transmitted by the tag; determining when the at least one tracked object has been removed from the premises using the tag data; and transmitting to a first client device, an alert upon a determination that the at least one tracked object has been removed from the premises.
Housing with access passage
A housing for a device an outside and an inside, as well as an access passage for access from the outside of the housing to a component of the device inside the housing. The access passage comprises an outer opening section, and an inner drainage channel. The drainage channel is arranged below the outer opening section, which has vertical side walls extending inwardly from the outside of the housing. Each sidewall has a top width (W.sub.T) and a bottom width (W.sub.B), the top width (W.sub.T) being narrower than the bottom width (W.sub.B). The sidewalls provide a guiding surface for a liquid entering the access passage, such that the liquid is guided towards the drainage channel.
INFORMATION TRANSMISSION SYSTEM USING BELL
An information transmission system includes a bell, a transmitter, a manual actuator that is manually operated by an operator and actuates the bell, and a controller having a sensor and a memory, wherein the controller analyzes operation information of actuation of the bell actuated by the manual actuator based on an output from the sensor and stores the operation information to the memory, and wherein the transmitter determines operator information corresponding to the operator in the operation information recorded in the memory when the operator rings the bell, and sends the determined operator information.
