Conversation detection in an ambient telephony system
A method of controlling a conversation in an ambient telephone environment having a plurality of spaces includes providing a plurality of devices distributed in the plurality of spaces used by one or more users, at least one of the plurality of devices is connected to a telecommunications network for enabling communication between the environment and one or more remote terminals; and obtaining signals communicating a conversation between at least one remote terminal and at least one of the plurality of devices and audio from the one or more users. The method further includes identifying a user of the at least one device used in the obtained conversation by detecting interaction of a type corresponding to conversational turn-taking; and tracking movements of the user in the environment to determine its presence in a first of the plurality of spaces.
Information handling device with built-in stand
An aspect provides an information handling device, comprising: a display; a processor; memory device storing instructions executable by the processor to operative couple the display to the processor; wherein the display, processor, and memory are located within a housing and the housing comprises a recess in which at least two members are housed. Other aspects are described and claimed.
REMOVABLE DEVICE CASE
Disclosed herein is a removable device case in which a plurality of rails formed in a main body thereof is assembled to a sliding coupling member such that the case can be completely combined. The removable device case can easily hold a device by coupling a rail part formed on one surface of the main body to a separate coupling member. In addition, disclosed herein is a case coupling structure that enables the external design of the device to be easily changed according to users' preferences and enables the device to be stably enclosed and protected so as not to be easily separated from the case even through severe vibration and impact are applied to the device from the outside.
Electronic device including a directional microphone
An electronic device may include a housing and a directional microphone. The housing may include a front surface, a rear surface positioned opposite the front surface, and a hollow cavity positioned between the front surface and the rear surface. The hollow cavity may include a front opening defined in the front surface and a rear opening defined in the rear surface. The directional microphone may include a front port and a rear port. The directional microphone may be mounted in the hollow cavity of the housing with the front port oriented toward the front opening and with the rear port oriented toward the rear opening.
COMMUNICATION DEVICE ENCLOSURE
An enclosure for communication devices is described comprising a rear housing and a faceplate. Various faceplates may be provided for different communication devices. The rear housing mounts to existing phone backboards. The rear housing may remain mounted and the faceplate exchanged for a different faceplate with a different communication device. The enclosure provides a simple, ubiquitous, an inexpensive enclosure that can support various communication devices that provide a variety of communication services to users such as email, VOIP, video calls, or other advanced telecommunications.
