An activation system includes a housing and a pulley mounted to the housing. The pulley is rotatable about an axis. An activation member is movable between a first position and a second position relative to the pulley to selectively couple to the pulley. When the activation member and the pulley are coupled, rotation of the pulley about the axis is restricted. A first tension member is operably coupled to the activation member and a first tension of the first tension member maintains the activation member in engagement with the pulley. At least one second tension member is wrapped about at least one of the pulley and the activation member and has a second tension acting on the at least one of the pulley and the activation member.

Flexible dry sprinklers

A flexible dry sprinkler includes an inlet, an inlet seal assembly having a spring seal that compresses in response to a longitudinal load, and an inlet release unit. A flexible tube has an inlet end and an outlet end, and a flexible linkage extends through the flexible tube, and is connected to the inlet release unit. An outlet release unit is connected to the outlet end of the flexible tube and to an outlet end of the flexible linkage, and displaces the outlet end of the flexible linkage upon activation of the flexible dry fire protection sprinkler. A sprinkler body is connected to the outlet release unit, and has an outlet orifice sealed by an outlet seal assembly until ambient temperature reaches a predetermined temperature. When the ambient temperature reaches the predetermined temperature, translation of the flexible linkage in an outlet direction causes release of the inlet seal assembly.

Triggering device of an extinguishing system

Various aspects of the invention are directed to a triggering device for a quickly triggering extinguishing system for explosion suppression. In some embodiments of the present disclosure, the triggering device may include a pawl body having a pawl flank, a catch, at least one electromagnet to transmit an electromagnetic field, and a sliding pin. The sliding pin triggers an extinguishing system for explosion suppression by movement from a blocking position into a release position. In the blocking position, the sliding pin is pushed against the pawl flank of the pawl body by means of the catch and is held in the blocking position by said pawl flank. The pawl body releases the engagement of the catch and the pawl flank, and thereby releases the sliding pin, in response to the at least one electromagnet exerting the electromagnetic field on the pawl body.

Triggering device of an extinguishing system

Various aspects of the invention are directed to a triggering device for a quickly triggering extinguishing system for explosion suppression. In some embodiments of the present disclosure, the triggering device may include a pawl body having a pawl flank, a catch, at least one electromagnet to transmit an electromagnetic field, and a sliding pin.
