Wireless Power System With Battery Charge Indicators

A wireless power system includes a wireless power transmitting device such as a wireless charging mat for charging devices such as a cellular telephone and an earbuds battery case. The earbuds battery case receives earbuds and charges the earbuds from a battery. The wireless charging mat supports bidirectional in-band communications between the cellular telephone and the earbuds battery case. The earbuds battery case provides the cellular telephone with information on the battery charge level associated with the battery in the earbuds battery case and a battery charge level associated with each earbud in the earbuds battery case. The cellular telephone receives battery charge level information through the wireless charging mat and displays corresponding indicators. The earbuds battery case has a visual output device such as a light-emitting diode that is illuminated to indicate that the earbuds battery case is being charged.

Smart notification system for voice calls

Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for providing smart notifications during voice call transitions from hold status to active status are described. An example method can include establishing a call between an endpoint and a remote device; after a determination that the call was placed on hold by the remote device, monitoring, by the endpoint, the call for an indication of a call resume transition, the indication of the call resume transition including at least one of a particular keyword transmitted by the remote device, an active speaker at the remote device, and a dual-tone multi-frequency signaling (DTMF) input from the remote device; detecting, by the endpoint, the indication of the call resume transition; and in response to detecting the indication of the call resume transition, generating, by the endpoint, a notification indicating that the hold has ended and the call has resumed.

Under-display camera and sensor control

An under-display camera is positioned underneath a display of a mobile device. The under-display camera captures an image using light passing through a portion of the display. The mobile device displays a display image on the display, the display image based on the image. The mobile device displays an indicator overlaid over the display image on an indicator area of the display that overlaps with the portion of the display. The indicator may identify the position of the camera. The mobile device can compensate for occlusion of the camera by continuing to display a previous display image if a more recently captured image includes an occlusion. The mobile device can give users alternate ways to select areas of the display image to avoid camera occlusion, for instance using hardware buttons and/or touchscreen interface elements.

Device locator disable authentication

A device locator mode or find my device (FMD) mode can allow a lost, stolen, or misplaced mobile device to be located. The FMD mode can be enabled or disabled on a mobile device. Sometimes thieves or unauthorized parties attempt to disable the FMD mode. To prevent this, the mobile device can transmit a unique device identifier to a remote server. The remote server can link the device identifier to a cloud-based user account associated with the user of the mobile device. Before an FMD mode is disabled on the mobile device, before the content or settings can be erased, and/or before a mobile device is permitted to be activated/reactivated, a user of the mobile device can be challenged for the credentials of the cloud-based user account. If valid credentials are provided, FMD can be disabled, the content or settings can be reset, and/or the device can be activated/reactivated.

Method, electronic device, and storage medium for displaying charging state in start of charging

Provided is an electronic device including: a battery, a display, at least one processor, and a memory, the memory storing instructions that, when executed, cause the at least one processor to: identify a charging scheme for the battery and a state of the display upon detection of a charging start event, display a graphic object on the display using a first display scheme indicating a first charging scheme based on the state of the display based on the charging scheme being the first charging scheme, and display the graphic object on the display using a second display scheme indicating a second charging scheme based on the state of the display based on the charging scheme being a second charging scheme.

USER INTERFACE FOR RECEIVING USER INPUT

The present disclosure relates to user interfaces for receiving user input. In some examples, a device determines which user input technique a user has accessed most recently, and displays the corresponding user interface. In some examples, a device scrolls through a set of information on the display. When a threshold criteria is satisfied, the device displays an index object fully or partially overlaying the set of information. In some examples, a device displays an emoji graphical object, which is visually manipulated based on user input. The emoji graphical object is transmitted to a recipient. In some examples, a device displays paging affordances that enlarge and allow a user to select a particular page of a user interface. In some examples, the device displays user interfaces for various input methods, including multiple emoji graphical objects. In some examples, a keyboard is displays for receiving user input.

Surgical instrument

A tool comprises a distal portion and a proximal portion spaced apart by a shaft along a longitudinal axis. The distal portion includes a distal link and the proximal portion including a proximal link. The distal link and proximal link form a pair of links. The tool also comprises a set of tension load bearing members connecting the proximal link and the distal link and terminating at the links of the pair to transfer movement therebetween. The tool also comprises an articulation lock positioned between the distal portion and the proximal portion and configured to allow through passage of the set of tension load bearing members. The articulation lock is adjustable between an unlocked configuration in which the proximal and distal links are moveable and a locked configuration in which an effective length of the shaft is increased, creating a force to impede movement of the proximal and distal links.
