Data processing in a digital subscriber line environment
Methods, systems, devices, and computer readable medium for processing data in a digital subscriber line environment are disclosed. In one aspect methods include establishing a first data channel in a first system utilizing a first frequency band. Methods also include conveying, for a second system that establishes a second data channel over a second frequency band, handshake information using the first system.
Method and apparatus for cloud services for enhancing broadband experience
Described is a method for controlling a broadband service, the method comprising: collecting user behavior, usage data, and physical layer data associated with the broadband service; analyzing the collected data to determine whether a different broadband service can be offered to a user compared to existing broadband service; and providing the user a targeted offer according to the analysis. Described is also a method for recommending a service profile, the method comprising: receiving broadband data from an agent, wherein the agent is executable on a computing device coupled to a LAN of a broadband subscriber; identifying a current service profile of the broadband subscriber; analyzing the received broadband data in view of the current service profile; determining a new service profile for the broadband subscriber according to the analyzed broadband data; and recommending the new service profile to the broadband subscriber and the broadband subscriber's service provider.
Randomization of crosstalk probing signals
In accordance with an embodiment, the vectoring controller is configured to iterate through successive crosstalk acquisition cycles and, within respective ones of the crosstalk acquisition cycles, to configure sequences of crosstalk probing symbols for transmission over the respective communication lines, to receive sequences of error samples as successively measured by respective receivers coupled to the respective communication lines while the sequences of crosstalk probing symbols are being transmitted, and to determine crosstalk estimates between the respective communication lines based on the sequences of error samples. The vectoring controller is further configured to randomize the successive sequences of crosstalk probing symbols used during the successive crosstalk acquisition cycles, and to iteratively configure the vectoring processor based on the successive crosstalk estimates.
Signal processing method in DSL system, apparatus, and system
Embodiments of the present invention provide a signal processing method in a DSL system. The method includes: determining that there is no to-be-sent downstream signal on m subscriber lines in n subscriber lines; superimposing a signal X on the m subscriber lines, so that a signal output on the m subscriber lines after precoding processing is 0, where x.sub.m indicates a signal component loaded on the m.sup.th subscriber line in the m subscriber lines; performing precoding processing on a downstream signal on the n subscriber lines; and sending the downstream signal that has undergone the precoding processing on another line except the m subscriber lines in the n subscriber lines. The embodiments of the present invention further provide a network-side device and a DSL system.
Network structure and central office equipment (COE) and customer premises equipment (CPE) thereof
A network structure including a central office equipment (COE) and a customer premises equipment (CPE) is provided. The CPE is connected to the COE through a single twisted-pair cable, and configured to convert an external power and supply power to the COE through the single twisted-pair cable. In addition, the data transmission and the transmission of telephone voice are performed between the COE and the CPE through the single twisted-pair cable.
MTHOD FOR AN AUTOMATIC SELECTION OF AN IP QOS MECHANISM, RESPECTIVE CPE DEVICE AND COMPUTER READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM
The method for an automatic selection of a quality of service queuing mechanism for upstream traffic on a high bandwidth access line comprises the steps of measuring the upstream rate (1) on the access line (10), and depending on that rate(20), keeping a software queuing mechanism enabled in case of an upstream rate below a defined threshold (S) (30), and disabling the software queuing mechanism in case of an upstream rate above the defined threshold (40).
Contact list reconciliation and permissioning
Techniques for using validated communications identifiers of a user's communications profile to resolve entries in another user's contact list are described. When a user imports a contact list, the contact list may include multiple entities related to the same person. The system may identify one of the entries in the contact list that corresponds to a validated communications identifier stored in another user's communications profile. The system may identify other validated communications identifiers in the other user's communications profile and cross-reference them against the entries of the contact list. If the system determines the contact list includes entries for the different validated communications identifiers of the other user, the system may consolidate the entries into a single entry associated with the other user.
