Fluid immersion cooling system with low flash point hydrocarbon dielectric fluid
A fluid immersion cooling system has a fluid tank containing a hydrocarbon dielectric fluid as a coolant fluid. One or more components of an electronic system is immersed in the coolant fluid. A gas cylinder contains a non-flammable, compressed filling gas. The temperature of the coolant fluid is monitored during operation of the electronic system. The filling gas is released from the gas cylinder and into the fluid tank when the temperature of the coolant fluid rises to a trigger temperature that is set based on the flash point of the coolant fluid. The filling gas covers a surface of the coolant fluid to block oxygen from interacting with vapors of the coolant fluid to prevent combustion.
LITHIUM-ION BATTERY AND ELECTRIC VEHICLE UTILIZING THE SAME
The present invention relates to a lithium-ion battery and an electric vehicle utilizing the lithium-ion battery. The lithium-ion battery comprises a housing, and battery cell group disposed in the housing, wherein, a fire-extinguishing material layer is provided between the battery cell group and the housing, and the housing is provided with drain hole. The technical scheme of the present invention can effectively prevent fire and explosion of lithium-ion battery, and can significantly improve the safety of lithium-ion battery in use.
System for preventing inundation and ship having the same
An inundation prevention system for ship is provided. The inundation prevention system for ship includes a fire-extinction gas ejection part configured to eject a fire extinction gas to an installation area prepared in a hull, an airbag part of 3D shape disposed in the installation area, and an airbag actuation part configured to supply the fire extinction gas to the airbag part, if inundation occurs in the installation are, and to inflate the airbag in the installation for compulsory buoyancy.
FIRE SUPPRESSION DEVICE
The system of the present invention is comprised of the following: a fire extinguisher; solenoid adapted to release said extinguisher; a flexible conduit adapted to direct the contents of the extinguisher to the stove; a linear heat detector for sensing fire; a disconnecting box adapted to disconnect the cooking gas or electricity from stove at the event of fire; a second CO2 gas or equivalent gas container that is connected to the disconnecting box; another solenoid adapted to release said gas container; more conduits connected to each of the burners in the stove. In this configuration, fire suppression, and gas cutoff are effected simultaneously. Additionally to the above mentioned effects, the system further simultaneously injects CO2 or similar extinguishing gas instead of natural gas straight to the burner itself suffocating the fire at the source.
FIRE SUPPRESSION AND/OR EXTINGUISHMENT SYSTEMS AND DEVICES
The present invention features systems, methods and devices directed to fire suppression and/or extinguishment using solid carbon dioxide and/or liquid or aqueous hydrogen. Systems and methods of deployment and/or dispersal of carbon dioxide and hydrogen (which would form water at its deployment location) are contemplated. The present invention also contemplates method(s) of fire suppression and/or extinguishment which may include the steps of: carbon dioxide canister deployment, formation of a carbon dioxide curtain and hydrogen deployment and/or dispersal.
House Fire Fighting Technique
This patent is about fighting House/Apartment/Condo/Building fires by using Dry Ice and/or Carbon Dioxide Gas. By the time people call the authorities, the fire has grown so big that it is difficult to control or to extinguish by ordinary fire fighting techniques. Traditional house fire fighting is to spray water into the house so that the flames would disappear and stop burning. This patent involves two methods: 1) throwing, spraying or spreading powder or flakes or pellets of Dry Ice on or near the fire or around the fire so that the Carbon Dioxide sublimating from it diffuses and expands to get to the fire or to fill up the house or around the house so that Oxygen cannot get into the fire to continue burning; 2) spraying Carbon Dioxide gas into the house, apartment or building to bring down the Oxygen level to stop the fire.
PERFORATOR AND GAS DISCHARGE APPARATUS
The present invention provides a perforator for breaking a closing member at a gas outlet of a gas bottle to allow a gas to flow out, including the cylindrical housing having three openings, namely, a first opening at a first end portion, a second opening at a second end portion which is opposite to the first end portion, and a third opening formed in a circumferential wall portion, an ignition device being fixed at the first opening, the second opening to be connected to the gas bottle and the third opening serving as a gas discharge portion, an first piston and a second piston being disposed, in the order of the first piston and the second piston, from the side of the ignition device to the side of the second opening in the cylindrical housing, and when a pressure created by actuation of the ignition device is received, the first piston moving in an axial direction inside the cylindrical housing, and the second piston moving towards the second opening inside the cylindrical housing by receiving the movement of the first piston.
EXTINGUISHING-FLUID-NOZZLE SYSTEM FOR STATIONARY FIRE-EXTINGUISHING SYSTEMS
An extinguishing fluid nozzle system (1, 100, 200), for stationary fire extinguishing systems, with an extinguishing fluid nozzle having a main body (3, 104, 204) which has an inlet opening (23, 123, 223) and can be fixed in fluid-conducting relationship to an extinguishing fluid line, a nozzle head (5, 106, 206) which has one or more outlet openings (25, 125, 225) connected in fluid-conducting relationship to the inlet opening for the discharge of the extinguishing fluid, and an aperture (7, 107, 207) having an aperture ring (15, 115, 215) for flow limitation, arranged in the fluid path between the inlet opening and the one or more outlet openings. The aperture has a grip portion (17, 117, 217) which is fixedly connected to the aperture ring and which extends outwardly from the aperture ring and which in the fitted condition of the aperture extends outside the extinguishing fluid nozzle.
