Method and system for communication control
Embodiments include methods, systems, and computer program products for communication control. One such embodiment receives a telephone call from a plain old telephone service (POTS) device. The telephone call includes a telephone number corresponding to a destination device. Next, a ringing tone is provided to the POTS device and the telephone number is transmitted to a proxy agent. A message is received from the proxy agent. The message indicates that a telephonic connection has been established between the proxy agent and the destination device. Responsive to receiving the message from the proxy agent, a real-time communications connection between the POTS device and the destination device is created by providing answer signaling for the received telephone call to the POTS device.

System and method for mitigating emergency call failure
An emergency call failure mitigation apparatus, system and method includes a messaging subsystem that may be launched, upon receiving a call signaling indication pursuant to an emergency service call from a calling party that has failed to reach a local Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP). The messaging subsystem is operative to prompt the calling party to provide one or more responses relating to the emergency situation and generate a messaging object including at least one of the calling party's location, identity of a call receiving device associated with the calling party, type of the calling party and priority of the emergency service call determined based on one or more responses of provided by the calling party. In one embodiment, the messaging object may be forwarded to an entity operative to reach the calling party.
FAILOVER ANNOUNCEMENTS
To handle a failover condition, a media server receives a request, from a first application server, to stream a first media message in a media channel of a communication session. The first media message is streamed in the media channel of the communication session by the media server. Once the first media message has ended, a status message can be sent to the first application server to determine if the first application server has failed. If a response to the status message is not received (i.e., because the first application server has failed), the media server can stream a second media message during a period where a second application server is failing over for the first application server. If a response to the status message is received, the second media message is not streamed.
MONITORING APPARATUS TO MONITOR COMMUNICATION AMONG TERMINAL DEVICES INSIDE GROUP, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A plurality of groups including a plurality of terminal devices are formed, and further, each of a plurality of base station apparatuses assigns a channel in a unit of the group such that communication is performed from one of the terminal devices included in a group to which the channel is assigned to the other terminal devices included in the group, and a receiver receives information on a busy count generated in the group registered in each of the base station apparatuses. A display unit displays information indicating the busy count for each of the base station apparatuses based on the received information.
