METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DETERMINING A BRIDGED TAP LENGTH

Embodiments relate to an apparatus (5, 7) comprising means (31, 32, P) configured for: generating (S1) a dataset specifying, for a plurality of communication lines: a channel frequency response of a communication line having one or two bridged taps, and a set of M lengths of bridged taps associated with the communication line, with M greater than one, training (S2), based on the dataset, a machine learning model configured for determining, based on the channel frequency response of a communication line, a set of M lengths of bridged taps associated with the communication line.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PERFORMANCE ESTIMATION OF A COMMUNICATION LINK

Described is a method for performance estimation of a communication device. The method comprises: executing active probing to determine active probing data; reading operational data which includes data related to channel and its noise condition, latency and counter values related to user data traffic between the communication device and another communication device, wherein the operational data is relevant to the current settings of the communication device; and training a performance estimation algorithm for the communication device according to the active probing data and the operational data.

Dynamic geo-location and time synchronization

The present disclosure describes an autonomous mechanism for seamlessly coordinating timing of subscriber devices in a service provider system based on the subscriber devices' physical geographic locations. The service provider system dynamically calibrates local times for subscriber devices in geographic locations around in the world without requiring additional local infrastructure. This calibration allows the subscriber devices to receive customized services specifically tailored to their physical geographic locations from the service provider system. Moreover, this autonomous mechanism allows the subscriber devices to be quickly re-purposed to different physical geographic locations without the need to manually configure each individual subscriber device prior to relocation.
