METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR THREAT IDENTIFICATION THROUGH ANALYSIS OF COMMUNICATIONS SIGNALING EVENTS, AND PARTICIPANTS
Aspects of the invention determining a threat score of a call traversing a telecommunications network by leveraging the signaling used to originate, propagate and terminate the call. Outer-edge data utilized to originate the call may be analyzed against historical, or third party real-time data to determine the propensity of calls originating from those facilities to be categorized as a threat. Storing the outer edge data before the call is sent over the communications network permits such data to be preserved and not subjected to manipulations during traversal of the communications network. This allows identification of threat attempts based on the outer edge data from origination facilities, thereby allowing isolation of a compromised network facility that may or may not be known to be compromised by its respective network owner. Other aspects utilize inner edge data from an intermediate node of the communications network which may be analyzed against other inner edge data from other intermediate nodes and/or outer edge data.

Systems and methods for generating application data from call data
Systems and methods are provided for generating application data from call data. In one implementation, a method includes acquiring call data from a call-data source with a call-data aggregator; modifying a portion of the call data with a call-data modifier; and generating application data from the portion of the call data. Application data may be configured for diagram generation. The diagram may graphically indicate call volume in branches of an interactive voice response (IVR) system map. The diagram may be a flow diagram including a connector associated with a branch of the IVR system map and the connector may have a width proportional to a call volume in the branch of the IVR system map. The diagram may indicate call-portion durations, which may be associated with a phase of a call and which may have a color associated with a phase of a call.
Call traffic diagnostics in telecommunications networks
Telephone calls within one or more telephone networks (or portions thereof) are animated in real time as they occur, or over some past period in real time or at a user-selected speed. Each animated call displays the call's progress from its first connection to its final disconnection, along with intervening connection delays and transition events (e.g., transfers, holds, conferences, etc.). Animated display of multiple concurrent calls allows network administrators to easily and intuitively diagnose telephone network issues and more easily devise solutions, particularly where such display is provided in combination with concurrent measures of telephone network efficiency.
Hierarchy based graphical user interface generation
One or more embodiments related to a method of generating a graphical user interface. The method includes obtaining an interface hierarchy having multiple nodes, where each node defines a visualization for the node, and the interface hierarchy defining an ordering on the nodes. The method further includes traversing the interface hierarchy starting with a selected node to obtain a subhierarchy, and creating the graphical user interface from a general interface by populating the general interface with the visualization. The method further includes providing the graphical user interface.
Troubleshooting multi-layered networks using datapath analysis
In various embodiments, the techniques and supporting systems implement a recursive routing mechanism in hierarchical topological addressed environments to analyze and determine the presence of packet-forwarding errors within an IP network comprising a plurality of network-connected devices. This includes receiving, at a software defined network device, an indication of a potential packet-forwarding error between a first and second device of the plurality of network-connected devices and injecting, by the software defined network device, a test packet at an ingress to the first device. The test packet includes an initial ingress interface location identifying the first device, an alternate ingress interface location identifying the software defined network device and an egress interface location identifying the second device. A determination may then be made as to whether the test packet is received at the second device, thus indicating the existence or lack of routing errors.

System and method for mapping a connectivity state of a network
A connectivity state mapping system for mapping physical connections between interfaces of devices in a network is provided. The system includes at least one processor, at least one memory, and an application including instructions, which are executable by the at least one processor. The instructions are configured to: group the interfaces into groups; select one of the groups based on a predetermined fault plan; determine utilization parameters; based on the utilization parameters, cause at least one fault in one or more of the interfaces in the selected group; monitor events corresponding to the at least one fault and log data indicative of errors detected at the interfaces of the selected one of the groups; and based on the at least one fault and the predetermined fault plan, correlate the data to identify physical connections between two or more of the devices in the network.
System and method for routing and administering TTY calls
Embodiments of the invention are related generally to systems and methods for routing and administering TTY calls on behalf of individuals who may be deaf and/or hearing-impaired and/or speech-impaired. The invention provides for systems and methods which are operable to both streamline the routing of non-TTY calls, which are often mistakenly made to TTY phone numbers, as well as to better administer TTY calls to true TTY callers. In the present invention, TTY calls are routed to an operator, who may be presented with a real-time feed of TTY calls received by themselves and/or by other operators. Further, search functionality and exportation of data from the system provide additional functionality for users. In embodiments of the invention, data associated with this system may be used to allow for more effective management of a TTY system by users and/or system administrators.
