CALL TEST SYSTEM AND METHOD THEREOF
A call test system sets up a call between a calling terminal and a called terminal. The call test system generates an original signal in a first format and converts it to a second format which can be stored in a memory of the calling terminal. The calling terminal sends the signal in the second format over the channel to the called terminal. The called terminal stores the received signal in the second format and sends it to the call test system. The call test system converts the received signal in the second format to the first format and compares it with the original signal in the first format. The comparison may be in the time domain and/or the frequency domain.

Emergency Network Test Apparatus and Method
A method of testing an emergency network, includes: simulating, by test logic, a public emergency network entity and a plurality of interfaces between the public emergency network entity and a test device; monitoring, by the test logic, the plurality of interfaces to determine that data flowed correctly on each interface in response to an emergency alert sent from the test device such that the emergency alert is not actually sent to the public emergency network entity; and determining, by the test logic, a test status for each interface indicating a success or failure of a test, for each interface, the test status based on data correctness such that the test confirms that the emergency alert and associated emergency data would be sent to the public emergency network entity correctly.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DETERMINING A BRIDGED TAP LENGTH
Embodiments relate to an apparatus (5, 7) comprising means (31, 32, P) configured for: generating (S1) a dataset specifying, for a plurality of communication lines: a channel frequency response of a communication line having one or two bridged taps, and a set of M lengths of bridged taps associated with the communication line, with M greater than one, training (S2), based on the dataset, a machine learning model configured for determining, based on the channel frequency response of a communication line, a set of M lengths of bridged taps associated with the communication line.

Crosstalk mitigation for out-of-band tones
The method includes inputting first groups of frequency samples to be transmitted over, respectively received from, first and second subsets of subscriber lines at respective first tones and following a first group selection order, alternated with mirrored second groups of frequency samples to be transmitted over, respectively received from, the second subset of subscriber lines at respective mirrored second tones of the first tones, and following a mirrored second group selection order of the first group selection order, to a vectoring processor for joint mitigation of first crosstalk present over the first and second subsets of subscriber lines at the respective first tones and second crosstalk present over the second subset of subscriber lines at the respective second tones. The first tones are common to the first and second transmit spectra. Mirroring is with respect to a folding frequency derived from a reference sampling frequency applicable to the first subset of subscriber lines.

Method and a system for detecting telephone numbers used by SIM boxes for soliciting telephone calls
The invention relates to a method (100) of detecting a soliciting telephone number that is being used fraudulently for soliciting calls to target numbers. The method (100) comprises a plurality of iterations of a detection stage (104) comprising the following steps: sending (106) a telephone call to at least one target number; receiving (108) at least one message; detecting (110) at least one soliciting number from said received message; and detecting a new target number in said received message; the method being characterized in that it includes a new iteration of the detection stage (104) using said new target number when said target number is a new number. The invention also provides a system for performing such a method (100).
System and method for using a connector at the end of a cable as a cable locating tone sensor
A system for use in locating and testing a cable having a first end connected to a first connector and a second end connected to a second connector where the second connector is one of a plurality of connectors within a patch panel. The system includes a first device having a first cable certification and test circuitry which is couplable to the first connector and a second device having a second cable certification and test circuitry which is couplable to the second connector. One of the first device and the second device further includes circuitry for generating a tone signal that is to be applied to the cable and the other one of the first device and the second device further includes a probe for receiving the tone signal and for generating an output indicative of a strength of the received tone signal.
