ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MANAGING CONTACTS THEREOF
20230120114 · 2023-04-20 ·

Various embodiments of the present disclosure relate to an electronic device and a method for managing a contact thereof. The electronic device can include: at least one processor, and a memory operatively coupled to the at least one processor. The memory can store instructions which, when executed, cause the at least one processor to: collect data related to a contact of a specified user, extract at least one piece of individual feature information by analyzing the collected data, provide differentiated individual identity information by comparing the extracted individual feature information with individual feature information of other users, and store the provided individual identity information in the memory in conjunction with the contact of the specific user.

SHARED VISIBILITY OF MULTI-DIMENSIONAL PROFILES AND PREDICTIONS

Aspects of the present disclosure provide technical solutions embodied in a predictive profiling platform. In example embodiments, the predictive profiling platform is configured to generate multi-dimensional system profiles and predictions thereof, provide shared visibility of system profiles between systems that are mapped together based on relationships between respective users, and enable improved cross-system functionality and operations.

Dynamic direction of incoming calls

Apparatus and methods concerning call routing are disclosed. In an example embodiment, a call alert message, indicative of the call answer options, is communicated from a data-communications server to the communication device, determined in response to receiving an incoming call for a communication device at the server. A selected option is received from the communication device. In response to the selected option indicating the first call answer option, the call is routed to the communication device as a call via a data network or in response to the selected option indicating the second call answer option, the call is routed to the communication device via a PSTN.

DOORBELL COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS AND METHODS

The disclosure includes a method for using a doorbell system to detect a presence of a visitor. The doorbell system can comprise a doorbell having a speaker, a microphone, a camera, and a button. The method can include detecting, by the doorbell system, the presence of the visitor while the visitor is located outside a building to which the doorbell is attached. The building can include a door having a lock that is configured to fasten the door to inhibit unauthorized entry into the building. In response to detecting the presence of the visitor, the method can include the step of actuating, by the doorbell system, a first appliance associated with the building.

CALL PROTECT GEOLOCATOR DISPLAY FOR 5G OR OTHER NEXT GENERATION NETWORK

Call spoofing can be mitigated by providing geolocation information to the called device. For example, when a call rings, a geolocator can be invoked and the incoming call display screen can show a carrier logo and/or a geolocator globe illustrating the location of the call originator. The geolocation session initiation protocol data can be confirmed by a network device and compared against carrier specific data of the calling device to authenticate voice calls for called devices. In one embodiment location data of the calling device can purposely be shared in order to facilitate the mitigation of call spoofing.

Systems and methods for location based call routing

Disclosed herein are a system, method, and computer-readable medium with instructions for recommending a service provider based on a user's approximate current location. The service provider may be recommended for a service that is verified under a user's insurance policy and is also within proximity to the user's approximate current location. The user's approximate current location may be determined by location-based technology. The entity that receives and/or recommends the service provider may initiate a request for the service from the service provider. Further embodiments are related to routing a call to provide information to the user that is responsive to the user's location-relevant request. For example, systems, such as an automotive telematics system, may request information and be routed to the appropriate division of a user's insurance provider such that the automotive telematics system can provide services to the user that are user-specific (e.g., covered by the user's insurance policy).

CALL SCREENING SERVICE FOR INBOUND COMMUNICATIONS

One example method of operation may include receiving a call message intended for a call recipient, removing one or more portions of call message data included in the call message, identifying one or more of a trunk group and an entry point associated with the received call message, adding one or more of a trunk group identifier (TGRP) and a universally unique identifier (UUID) to the call message to create a modified call message, and forwarding the modified call message to a destination network associated with the call recipient.

Location Determination and Telephone Number Distribution for Emergency Calls
20230144916 · 2023-05-11 ·

Location determination and telephone number distribution for emergency calls is enabled by a telephony system which maintains multiple pools of telephone numbers. Each pool corresponds to a different region such that the pools of telephone numbers are defined at the region-level rather than at the site-level. The telephony system determines the location of a calling device initiating an emergency call regardless of whether the calling device is at a known site. Based on the determined location of the calling device, one of the pools of telephone numbers which corresponds to that location is selected. The telephony system thereafter distributes a telephone number for the calling device to use for the emergency call from that selected pool of telephone numbers to facilitate an emergency call between the calling device and a local public safety answering point.

Location service selection apparatus and methods

Apparatus comprising one or more processors configured to provide a user with location service selection criterion signalling. The location service selection criterion signalling allows for user selection of one or more differing types of location service, wherein each of the differing types of location service are for the provision of location related data for the apparatus. The apparatus also comprises one or more inputs configured to receive user selection criterion signalling representative of user input responsive to said location service selection criterion signalling, and one or more processors configured to allow for use of the user selection criterion signalling to select one or more differing types of location service in the provision of location related data for the apparatus.

Customization of call forwarding or voicemail greetings based on location of wireless device
11689659 · 2023-06-27 · ·

A wireless telecommunications system provides location-specific call forwarding. The system can receive a request to connect a voice call to the wireless device, which can invoke a call forwarding procedure depending on a status of a subscriber associated with the wireless device. When the system determines that a current location of the wireless device is different from a default location, location-specific call forwarding information is used to forward the voice call to a terminating node associated with the location-specific forwarding information rather than a default terminating node for the default location. The terminating node can include a voicemail server that plays back a location-specific voicemail greeting to the caller.
