Methods for processing emergency call and communications apparatuses utilizing the same
A communications apparatus includes a baseband signal processing device, an RF signal processing device, a memory device, and a processor. The processor transmits a normal call-establishment signal with a remote identifier to a network to originate a normal call in response to a first call-origination request with the remote identifier, receives an indication message indicating that the normal call is routed as an emergency call from the network, records the remote identifier in the memory device, and when receiving a second call-origination request with the remote identifier, transmits an emergency call-establishment signal with the remote identifier to the network to originate an emergency call in response to the second call-origination request.
Method and apparatus for utilizing callee information and location before call establishment
The present disclosure relates to providing user information. In a method for requesting user information of an information requesting device in a mobile communication system, the method includes selecting a callee from a user, acquiring a user identifier (ID) of the selected callee, transmitting a user information request for the selected callee and the user ID to a relay server, evaluating whether an admission message is received from the relay server, and if the admission message is received, receiving user information from the relay server.
User-configurable recording of VoIP calls
Various example implementations are directed to circuits, apparatuses, and methods for providing voice-over-IP (VoIP) services. According to an example embodiment, an apparatus includes one or more VoIP servers configured and arranged to route VoIP calls to and from users of a plurality of customer accounts. Each customer account has a respective plurality of users and a respective settings file. For each of the customer accounts, a processing circuit communicatively coupled to the VoIP servers, records an audio portion of a VoIP call to or from a user of the customer account in response to the VoIP call satisfying a set of recording criteria specified in the settings file for the customer account. The recording criteria for at least one of the customer accounts includes account-level settings for selecting VoIP calls to be recorded and sets of user-level settings indicating criteria for preventing recording of VoIP calls of the individual users.
SYSTEM PROVIDING RELEVANT SERVICES TO TRANSIENT DEVICES IN WIRELESS NETWORKS AND METHODS THEREOF
Generally described, the present disclosure relates to communications and more particularly, to a system providing relevant services to transient devices in wireless networks and methods thereof. In one illustrative embodiment, a Unified Communications and Collaboration (UCC) client on a device can be synchronized with a network so that the device can appear as a local entity. The UCC client can facilitate exchange of data to ease the integration of the device into the local environment. After being synchronized, the UCC client can seek out available assistance from the local network and provide it to the user. Typically, the data retrieved from the local network pertains to the current location. The local network can be used to provide wireless service to mobile devices in order to remove them from their carrier network, including providing a local breakout via a Private Branch Exchange (PBX).
Audio processing method, device, and apparatus for multi-party call
An audio processing method for a multi-party call. The method includes obtaining a preset attribute value of each of at least one audio signal currently obtained by a first electronic device participating in a multi-party call, determining a target attribute value configured for the audio signal collected by the first electronic device, and detecting a first audio signal from the at least one audio signal currently obtained by the first electronic device and prohibiting the first electronic device from outputting the first audio signal. The preset attribute value is configured for the audio signal collected by each of a plurality of electronic devices participating in the multi-party call according to an attribute configuration rule determined according to a positional relationship between the plurality of electronic devices. A comparison result between a corresponding preset attribute value of the first audio signal and the target attribute value satisfies a first condition.
Electronic device and method for managing operation thereof while operating vehicle
An electronic device includes a communication interface configured to receive a call from another electronic device, a sensor to sense a motion speed of the electronic device, and a processor configured to provide, to a server, a status of the electronic device based on the motion speed for notifying the another electronic device of the status, determine a type of the call according to an input received from the another electronic device after providing the status, and control to provide a notification related to the call in the electronic device based on the type of the call.
Translation Method and Electronic Device
This application provides a translation method and an electronic device. The method is applied to a first electronic device. The method includes: The first electronic device establishes a call connection to a second electronic device and then displays a call interface; after receiving a first operation of a first user, in response to the first operation, the first electronic device switches from displaying the call interface to displaying a translation interface; the first electronic device receives a first speech of the first user in a first language and sends the first speech to the second electronic device; in response to the first speech, the translation interface sequentially displays at least a first text and a second text, where the first text is obtained by recognizing the first speech, and the second text is obtained by translating the first speech into a target language; and when the translation interface displays the second text, the first electronic device sends a machine speech in the target language to the second electronic device. According to this method, real-time translation can be achieved during a call, and the machine speech and the text in the target language can be synchronized.
Social media content for emergency management
A method for providing an alternate communication pathway for emergency data to an emergency service provider (ESP) is disclosed. In some embodiments, one or more processors of said emergency assistance system (EAS) implement the method for using social media content to detect and facilitate emergency communications.
WIRELESS CONTROL DEVICE, AND WIRELESS CONTROL SYSTEM
A wireless control device is provided with: a first wireless control unit that acquires first information including information indicating first positions of persons by using a first wireless method; a second wireless control unit that connects to wireless devices by using a second wireless method, and acquires second information that includes device identification information for identifying the wireless devices and information indicating second positions of the wireless devices; and an information control unit that selects the first position within a prescribed range from each second position, and specifies person identification information linked with the device identification information of the second position as the person identification information of a person present at the selected first position.
Message back system
Disclosed is a message back system that can provide a means for a recipient of robo messages or spam messages to take action. The message back system includes a mobile device operating in conjunction with a server to activate the system and initiate one or more texts to be sent to the source phone number. The server can be programmed to try to send many texts to the source phone number to try to swamp the phone number with texts. The system may provide satisfaction to the user as a tool to respond to these on-going nuisances.
