COMMUNICATION METHOD AND SYSTEM
A first terminal transmits first event data instructing generation of a first sound to a server. A second terminal transmits second event data instructing generation of a second sound to the server. The server transmits data including the first event data and the second event data to the first terminal. The first terminal controls generation of the first sound and the second sound, based on the data including the first event data and the second event data.
Virtual Conferencing System with Layered Conversations
A virtual communication system including logic for supporting layered conversations, the system comprising: at least two computers communicating to one another over a communications medium, where each computer represents a User, each computer including a display, audio input, audio output, video input (such as a camera), memory, data storage, and a processor, a knowledge base stored in memory, the knowledgebase containing an identifier identifying each conversation associated with a given user, the knowledgebase storing information identifying each participant in each of the conversations, the knowledgebase storing information identifying the type of each conversation associated with the given one of the at least two computers, where each User may participate in multiple simultaneous conversations; and layered conversation logic executed by the processor, the layered conversation logic controlling a volume and a visual layout of each participant in each conversation in which the User participates in accordance with the conversation type.
TELEPRESENCE SYSTEM
The present disclosure relates to a telepresence system that enables better communication. The telepresence system includes: a network that connects a plurality of bases; and a plurality of telepresence apparatuses that transmit and receive video images and sound via the network, and share the video images and the audio between the respective bases. Further, in each of the telepresence apparatuses, a presentation device that performs presentation for prompting communication by users at different bases is disposed at the center of a shared communication space in which the users communicate with each other. The present technology can be applied to a telepresence system, for example.
VIRTUAL EXPO BOOTH PREVIEWS
One example method for virtual expo booth previews includes joining a virtual expo hosted by a video conference provider, the virtual expo including a plurality of virtual expo booths; presenting a graphical representation of the virtual expo and one or more virtual expo booths of the plurality of virtual expo booths; receiving an input indicating a first expo booth of the plurality of virtual expo booths; receiving, from the video conference provider, one or more multimedia streams associated with the first virtual expo booth; and presenting the one or more multimedia streams
Message-Based Device-Side Telephone Call To Virtual Meeting Elevation
A telephone call is elevated to a virtual meeting while maintaining the telephone call as an audio channel of the virtual meeting for an audio-only caller. During a telephone call, one of the participants of the telephone call requests to switch the telephone call to a virtual meeting. To enable an audio-only caller participating in the telephone call to switch to the virtual meeting, a message is transmitted to the phone device of the audio-only caller. Responsive to an interaction with the message at the phone device, the phone device is connected to the virtual meeting in which the telephone call is maintained as the audio channel at least for the audio-only caller. The specific form and content of the message is based on whether a client application associated with a web service used to implement the virtual meeting is installed on the phone device.
Signal processing apparatus, communication system, method performed by signal processing apparatus, storage medium for signal processing apparatus, method performed by communication terminal, and storage medium for communication terminal to receive text data from another communication terminal in response to a unique texting completion notice
According to one embodiment, a signal processing apparatus correlates a plurality of communication terminals as a group and enables one-to-many communications in the group. The signal processing apparatus includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry assigns a transmission right to one of the communication terminals in the group. The processing circuitry generates text data based on voice data from said one of the communication terminals in possession of the transmission right. The processing circuitry gives a texting completion notice indicative of completion of texting processing to the communication terminals in the group. The processing circuitry transmits, after the texting completion notice is given, the generated text data to at least one of the communication terminals in the group.
Recording gap detection and remediation
A disconnection of a client device is disconnected during a multi-participant communication, such as a call or a conference. An indication of the disconnection is transmitted to the client device to cause an agent at the client device to record media locally at the client device. The media recorded by the agent at the client device based on the indication of the disconnection is later received and included within a recording of the communication. For example, a gap of the recording in which the disconnection occurred may be identified, such as by performing a comparison of media within the recording to identify a start time of the gap and an end time of the gap. The media is then inserted within a portion of the recording of the multi-participant communication corresponding to the gap.
Distributed audio processing system for processing audio signals from multiple sources
A distributed audio processing system is disclosed, for providing users with the capability of producing a personalized audio mix of a plurality of signals from a plurality of audio sources. The system includes a wireless transmitter for each audio source and, for each user, a wireless receiver. The receiver comprises a programmable audio signal processor configured to process and mix a plurality of audio tracks received via a radio broadcast of a multi-track audio signal comprising the audio signals from the plurality of sources, said processing and mixing being programmable via received commands, instructions and/or parameters. The transmitters are configured to process the audio signals received from their respective sources, according to received commands, instructions and/or parameters. According to an embodiment, a user may provide commands, instructions and/or parameters to any of the receivers and/or transmitters of the system.
