Group communications platform

A group communications platform facilitates that sharing of an application environment with other users. The platform may receive a request to initiate a group session for a local user and a remote user. An out-of-process network connection with a system communication channel between a local computing device associated with the local user and a remote computing device associated with the remote user may be established for the group session. A system call may be received from a local instance of a first application on the local computing device to transfer local data to a remote instance of the first application on the remote computing device via the out-of-process network connection. The local data may be transferred to the remote instance of the first application on the remote computing device via the out-of-process network connection and the system communication channel. The local data may include state data of the local instance of the first application for updating a state of the remote instance of the first application.

A system and method for receiving and executing emoji based commands in messaging applications. The system and method may include processes such as identifying emojis in a message, determining one or more action based on the emoji, and completing the determined actions.

Electronic tool and methods for meetings between multiple users

An electronic meeting tool for communicating arbitrary media content multiple users at a meeting. The method including communicating first user selected arbitrary media content to a base unit of a wireless communications network, the first user selected arbitrary media content being scaled to fill an available central display canvas of a first display coupled to the base unit. The method also including connecting a third peripheral device to third port of a third processing device and communicating third user selected arbitrary media content to the base unit of the wireless communications network, and adding the third user selected arbitrary media content to the available central display canvas on a side of the displayed first user selected arbitrary media content to fill the available central display canvas without affecting an aspect ratio of the first user selected arbitrary media content and the third user selected arbitrary media content.

Visual engagement using automatically dynamically selected visualization mediums

A method and apparatus for visual engagement using automatically dynamically selected visualization mediums is described that will allow visual engagement via visual engagement sessions between customers and agents regardless of the type of application in use at the customer. Calls between customers and agents are implemented using the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) or Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), and visual engagement sessions are added to the calls, which enables visual engagement to occur without requiring modification of the manner in which calls are handled (routed) and bridged at the call center. In some embodiments, to enable an agent to see an output of an application client in use by a customer, a visualization system automatically selects one or more types of visualization technology for a visualization session with the customer based on the type of application client in use at the customer.

Systems, methods, articles of manufacture, and computer-readable media. A server may receive a phone call and generate a uniform resource locator (URL) comprising a session identifier for an account. The server may transmit the URL to a client device. The server may receive, from a web browser, a request comprising the URL. The server may determine that the session identifier in the URL of the request matches the session identifier for the account, and transmit, to the web browser, a web page at the URL. The server may receive, from the web browser, a cryptogram read by the web page via a card reader of the client device and decrypt the cryptogram. The server may authenticate the identity of the caller for the call based on decrypting the cryptogram and the session identifier of the URL matching the session identifier of the account.

A collaboration system is provided and includes memory storing collaboration data including a spatial event map locating events in a virtual workspace and a local display including a screen space. The collaboration system further includes logic to identify a local client viewport in the virtual workspace, logic to render, in the screen space on the local display, graphical objects identified by events in the spatial event map that have locations within the local client viewport, logic to change a location and a dimension of the local client viewport in the virtual workspace in response to input signals, logic to render, in the screen space on the local display, graphical objects identified by events in the spatial event map that have locations within the changed local client viewport, and logic to generate a viewport change event in response to the change of the local client viewport in response to input signals.

Network node, IP multimedia subsystem (IMS) node, over the top (OTT) digital assistant, and methods in a communications network

A network node for handling access to sharing media in a media session in an Over The Top (OTT) Digital Assistant (DA). The media shall be shared between a first participant A and a second participant B in a communications network. The first participant A has access to sharing media in the media session in the OTT DA. The network node receives a request for access from the OTT DA. The request for access relates to the first participant A requesting access for the second participant B to sharing media in the media session in the OTT DA. The network node forwards the request to an IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) node in the communications network, to trigger the IMS node to switch on the sharing of media in the media session in the OTT DA for the second participant B, when authorised by the participant B.
