System and method for activating a mobile device to initiate a communication
A system and method for activating a mobile device to initiate a communication directed to a target device is disclosed. The system and method may be implemented via a computing device arranged to send a request for activating the mobile device to initiate a communication, the request comprising a unique identifier of the target device; an unique identifier of the mobile device and contextual information relating to the communication; wherein the mobile device is arranged to receive the request to initiate the machine communication and upon receiving the request, parses and executes the request depending on the nature of the communication channel between the mobile device and target device.
Method and apparatus for establishing communications with a remote node on a switched network based on hypertext calling received from a packet network
Disclosed is a system and a methodology enabling a first provider party to provide to a second recipient party software and services to enable the recipient party to embed in an Internet e-mail of the recipient party directed to an addressee, an HTML hyperlink file which includes a telecommunication initiating trigger, sending the e-mail to the addressee via the Internet, the addressee upon receiving the e-mail actuating the hyperlink via its trigger and, responsive to the trigger actuation, connecting the addressee via the Internet to a web page located on an Internet server, wherein the web page includes a request for a telephone number of the addressee. The addressee entering its telephone number information at the server, which information is communicated to a database associated with the server, the server communicating with the database and with a telephony switch, including sending to the switch instructions which result in the switch originating and managing a public switched telephone network (PSTN) communication between the recipient party and the addressee.
Intelligent call lead generation
A computerized method and system for intelligent call lead generation is disclosed. The method includes receiving a telephone number and request for communication from a consumer, identifying an enterprise contact based at least in part on the request for communication, placing a first telephone call to the telephone number with a communication system and a second telephone call to a second telephone number associated with the enterprise contact with the communication system, merging the first telephone call and the second telephone call with the communication system into a merged call, and transmitting communication between the consumer and the enterprise contact with the communication system through the merged call.
Approaches for sharing data between electronic devices
Systems and approaches arc provided to enable multiple user devices to share data between devices. In one scenario, a user may click on or touch a telephone hyperlink from a browser of a desktop computer to initiate a telephone call from the user's mobile phone. In another situation, a user may begin various computing tasks from a tablet in the evening, share data associated relating to her work with a business computer, and complete her tasks the next day in the office with little to no minimal disruption to her work flow. In effect, the user may cut or copy data from a first personal computing device and paste that data onto a second computing device.
Inbound calls to intelligent controlled-environment facility resident media and/or communications devices
Systems and methods for inbound calls to controlled-environment facility resident media and/or communications devices may receive, via the device, data associated with the resident operating the device. Authentication of the resident operating the device may be verified as associated with an address identifier of the device and it may be confirmed that an inbound calling non-resident is associated with the address identifier. A notification of the inbound call may then be sent to the device, and the same or other data associated with the resident operating the device may be received, via the device. Authentication of the resident operating the device as a resident as associated with an address identifier may be re-verified using the same or other data and the call connected as a result of the verification, confirmation and/or re-verification.
Inbound calls to intelligent controlled-environment facility resident media and/or communications devices
An inbound call connection request may be received from a non-resident, directed to a controlled-environment facility resident and/or the resident's device. A determination may be made that a calling account of the resident does not have sufficient funds to pay for the inbound call, whereupon a message may be provided to the non-resident offering billing options, including at least a wireless carrier billing option, to complete the call connection. The call may be connected with the resident device in response to a determination a calling account of the inmate has sufficient funds to pay for the call or acceptance of one of the payment methods by the non-resident, along with authentication that the non-resident is associated with an address identifier (AID) of the resident device, and verification that the resident operating the device is associated with the AID of the device.
INTEGRATING ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INTO A TELECOMMUNICATIONS CALL
Methods, systems, and apparatus include computer programs encoded on a computer-readable storage medium, including a method for providing information. A request is received by a call routing server to establish a call between a client device and a remote telecommunications device. A given transmission criterion that triggered distribution of the particular digital component to the client device is determined by a call context server. A set of contextual information that is mapped to the given transmission criterion is identified, by the call context server, in a data store storing a mapping of transmission criteria to contextual information. The client device is connected, by the call routing server, to the remote telecommunications device using the phone number. The set of contextual information is transmitted to the remote telecommunications device or a computing device that is associated with the remote telecommunications device while the call is being connected or in progress.
Voice over internet integration
An Internet-based communication method, apparatus and/or software may permit a user, engaged in a session using a first mode of communication, to initiate a communication using a second mode of communication. This may be done by providing an icon button for selection by the user, and the communication session using the second mode of communication may be initiated upon selection of the icon button.
Character Identification for Establishing Communication
Techniques are described for character identification for establishing communication. A document is received with an inserted object in place of a numeric or alphanumeric sequence of characters that satisfy a format usable to establish a communication. The received document is displayed on a screen of a computing device. A user input is received at an input device of the computing device that represents activation of the object, and the communication is initiated with a device remote to the computing device.
Telephone number based information loading method and device
Disclosed are a telephone-number-based information loading method and device, wherein the method comprises steps of: detecting a telephone number in current display contents on a terminal side; determining whether the telephone number carries a feature identifier; and if yes, then generating a dial option control that is based on the telephone number in the current display contents, and/or invoking entry information of a webpage type service previously associated with the telephone number. According to the present invention, it is possible to conserve bandwidth resources, while preventing the occurrence of a situation in which a user mistakenly enters a dangerous website because of a search error, resulting in a security threat or other losses.
