SHARING A STREAMING VIDEO
A video segment can be shared over a computer network by first receiving the video segment at a receiving computer on the network. The receiving computer assures that the video segment is in a streaming video format, and creates at least one identification tag for the video segment. The receiving computer also stores the video segment, and communicates the identification tag to another computer on the network. Upon subsequent receipt of that identification tag, the receiving computer streams the video segment to a destination computer on the network.
Managing, monitoring and transcribing concurrent meetings and/or conference calls
A system, a method and a computer program product for managing multiple meetings and/or conference calls by performing the steps of receiving, by a computer, invitations to attend, by at least one attendee, two or more meetings, and detecting, by the computer, a one or more conflicts between the two meetings. The computer communicates, to the attendee, at least one detected conflict of the one or more detected conflicts. The computer receives an identification of a single meeting of the two or more meetings the at least one attendee will attend and at least one meeting to be transcribed. At least one meeting to be transcribed includes all meetings of the two or more meetings exclusive of the single meeting the attendee will attend. At least a portion of the at least one meeting is transcribed into a first textual transcript and selectively delivered to the attendee in real time.
Sharing a streaming video
A video segment can be shared over a computer network by first receiving the video segment at a receiving computer on the network. The receiving computer assures that the video segment is in a streaming video format, and creates at least one identification tag for the video segment. The receiving computer also stores the video segment, and communicates the identification tag to another computer on the network. Upon subsequent receipt of that identification tag, the receiving computer streams the video segment to a destination computer on the network.
System and method for improving call center communications
Methods and systems route requests for service in a call center. A non-transitory computer-readable medium stores data representative of a queue of customers waiting to be serviced. A processor queues a request for service initiated by a customer. Data output is sent to the customer to ascertain the customer's cause for the request via a data communication channel. Data input is received from the customer via the data communication channel. The data input indicates the customer's cause for the request. An agent is identified from a plurality of agents suitable to address the customer's cause for the request. The customer's position is adjusted in the queue based on the identified agent. A routing instruction is determined about routing the request to the identified agent.
PERSONALIZED AUDIO/VIDEO INVITATIONS FOR PHONE CALLS
A system and method for managing phone calls by enabling the call initiator to create a personalized audio or video invitation that the call recipient may review prior to accepting the call, which is immediately connected upon acceptance. Thus, prior to completion of the call, the call recipient may be comforted that the incoming call is one that should be taken or, conversely, one that may be safely avoided. The personalized audio or video invitation is created by the call initiator and is attached to the phone call data packet in place of the conventional Caller Id data packet. The call signaling may proceed in a conventional manner (e.g., using conventional client-server signaling) except that instead of providing a standard call with Caller Id as the sole identifying information, a data packet including the personalized audio or video invitation is provided to the call recipient to review prior to accepting the incoming call, as desired.
COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM FOR ESTABLISHING COMMUNICATIONS BETWEEN MOBILE DEVICE AND TELEPHONE NETWORK OR BROADBAND NETWORK
A communications system includes an adapter, an internet access device and a mobile device. The adapter is linked to a telephone network or a broadband internet network and configured to transceive voice data via the telephone network or the broadband internet network, perform data conversion between the voice data and corresponding internet protocol packets, and transceive the internet protocol packets. The internet access device is linked to the adapter and configured to make the adapter access an internet network. The mobile device is linked to the internet access device via the internet network and configured to transceive the internet protocol packets via the internet network. Communications between the adapter and the mobile device may be therefore established.

The method includes receiving communication from a calling party and performing a lookup of information relating to the calling party in a database via an Internet Protocol connection based on an identifier of at least one of the calling party and the called party. The information comprises one or more audio files. The method then provides the audio announcement to a called party based on the audio files.
PROVIDING AUDIO ANNOUNCEMENT TO CALLED PARTIES
The present disclosure describes a system, method, and computer-readable medium for providing audio announcement of communications to a called party in a communication network. The method includes receiving communication from a calling party and performing a lookup of information relating to the calling party in a database via an Internet Protocol connection based on an identifier of at least one of the calling party and the called party. The information comprises one or more audio files. The method then provides the audio announcement to a called party based on the audio files.
SYSTEMS & METHODS FOR INTELLIGENTLY MANAGING MULTIMEDIA FOR EMERGENCY RESPONSE
Described herein are systems, devices, methods, and media for connecting a user for transmitting multimedia from electronic devices to emergency service providers. In some embodiments, a method for transmitting multimedia from an electronic device to an emergency service provider by an emergency management system includes the steps of: detecting an emergency alert indicative of an emergency; wherein each sensor within the set of pertinent sensors is determined to be associated with the emergency; obtaining a first set of multimedia contents from the set of pertinent sensors; determining, based on at least one of the set of pertinent sensors and the first set of multimedia contents, a set of relevant sensors from the set of pertinent sensors; and transmitting a second set of multimedia contents from the set of relevant sensors to an emergency service provider.
