Systems and methods for call processing
The present invention provides flexible, user-definable call screening processes. The user can optionally define to which telecommunication terminals a screened call is to be broadcast to and under what conditions. An incoming call is forwarded to a call management system that asks the caller to leave a voice message. The call management system selectively couples the call to a POTS line or a VoIP-capable device so that the user can listen to the incoming message and thereby screen the incoming call. Based on the screening, the user can instruct the call management system to connect the caller to the user.
Recall device
A small wearable recall device is provided to capture images triggered by a combination of a detection of a capture condition (e.g., changes in motion, temperature or light level) followed by a relatively stable period, as detected by an accelerometer. By triggering on the combination of a detected capture condition followed by a detected stability condition, a clearer image of the environment of an interesting event is expected to be captured. The small size of the recall device makes it possible to integrate it into common portable consumer products, such as MP3 players, purses, clothing, hats, backpacks, necklaces, collars, and other human-wearable products.
METHOD AND APPARATUS OF PROVIDING MESSAGING SERVICE AND CALLBACK FEATURE TO MOBILE STATIONS
Disclosed are an apparatus and method of performing automated administrative operations on a mobile device. One example method may include determining via a hosted server that an action needs to be performed by a mobile device under management. The method may further include generating a message via the hosted server, the message includes the action, and transmitting the message to the mobile device under management, and receiving a result message from the mobile device under management responsive to the transmitted message, the result message indicating that the action has been satisfied.
Method and apparatus of providing messaging service and callback feature to mobile stations
Disclosed are an apparatus and method of performing automated administrative operations on a mobile device. The mobile device user may be unaware of any updates or other administrative operations being performed. One example method may include detecting that an event has occurred, interrupting a previously executed program, initiating a new program different from the previously executed program to perform a new function and notifying an application of the program interruption. The message may be a SMS type message.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ESTABLISHING A TELECOMMUNICATIONS LINK
A method for establishing a telecommunications link (C1, C2, C3) for a user to whom a first communications terminal is allocated. According to said method, an allocation information is made available to a control program running on a server for establishing the telecommunications link in which information a first allocation is defined for the first communications terminal as specified by the user. The first allocation can define an allocation of a second communications terminal to the first communications terminal. The telecommunications link can be established in accordance with the first allocation, using the second communications terminal instead of the first communications terminal. The allocation information can include a second allocation by which the first communications terminal can be signaled as being the only terminal used by the user in the established telecommunications link.
Call invites
A network node, computer program product and method establishing a call between a caller and a callee over a network. Multiple versions of a call invite are sent for establishing the call between a caller client of the caller and one or more callee clients implemented at one or more callee terminals of the callee. The multiple versions of the call invite are sent over a plurality of different delivery mechanisms. One of the delivery mechanisms comprises a push notification on a push channel.
Transparent PSTN failover
Novel tools and techniques for implementing Transparent PSTN Failover. In some embodiments, a VoIP switch might receive a call request for connection between a calling party at a calling telephone number (TN) and a called party at a called TN. Based on a determination that connection via a session border controller (SBC) between the VoIP switch and an Internet Protocol (IP) gateway has been lost, the VoIP switch might route the call request to a PSTN redirect TN through the PSTN. One of the Class 5 switch of the PSTN or the IP gateway might replace the redirect TN with the called TN, based on a determination that the redirect TN represents a PSTN failover. The IP gateway may then route the call request to an IP PBX for terminating (establishing) the call connection between calling party and called party, without interception by an operator, receptionist, or auto attendant.
Using An On-Premises Telephony Node During An Outage
A client device determines that a telephony outage is occurring. The client device connects to an on-premises telephony node using an encrypted password at the client device. The client device accesses a set of telephony services via the on-premises telephony node.
Managing voice over internet protocol (VoIP) communications
The disclosed embodiments include a computer implemented method for managing network communications. In one embodiment, the method includes gathering, using performance information packet (PIP) data packets, network performance information from a communications network that includes network performance information from a set of egress points between the communications network and an outside network. The method selects a network connection including an egress point and an egress packet path within the communications network to the egress point offering the best quality of service between the communications network and an outside network based on the network performance information. The method then establishes the network connection between the communications network and the outside network for routing communications.
