Techniques are described for enabling a service administrator to respond to a detected doorbell press at a property when an authorized user is unavailable to respond. In some implementations, a determination that a doorbell press has been detected at a property is made. Video data collected by a doorbell device of the property is obtained in response to determining that the doorbell press has been detected at the property. Sensor data collected by one or more sensors of a monitoring system located within the property is obtained in response to determining that the doorbell press has been detected at the property. A present security risk for the property is determined based at least on the obtained sensor data and the obtained video data. A communication session between the doorbell device and a server system associated with the monitoring system of the property is established in response to determining the present security risk for the property.

Enabling voice control of telephone device

A system capable of connecting a home telephone circuit connected to a Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) to a server via a data network using an adapter. The system may enable a telephone connected to the home telephone circuit to perform voice commands by sending audio data from the telephone to the server via the data network and the server determining the voice commands included in the audio data. Based on the voice command, the server may send an instruction to the adapter via the data network, the instruction causing the adapter to initiate a telephone call over the PSTN. Additionally, the server may send an instruction to any device associated with a user profile corresponding to the adapter. Thus, the system may enable the telephone to control a number of devices within the home using the voice commands.

There is provided a transmission device, including circuitry configured to receive alert information including metadata related to a predetermined pronunciation of a message. The circuitry is configured to generate vocal information for the message based on the metadata included in the alert information. The circuitry is further configured to transmit emergency information that includes the message and the generated vocal information for the message.

ENABLING VOICE CONTROL OF TELEPHONE DEVICE

A system capable of connecting a device to a Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) using an adapter. The adapter may connect to the PSTN and send audio data between the PSTN and a server via a data network, enabling the device to communicate over the PSTN. In addition, the adapter enables a telephone connected to a home telephone circuit to perform voice commands, by sending audio data from the telephone to the server and the server determining voice commands included in the audio data. In addition, the system may enable additional functionality for the home telephone circuit, such as three way calling, avoiding charge calls, detecting outgoing alarm signals and triggering an alarm response, monitoring call statistics of telephone calls and sending intercom signals to telephones connected to the home telephone circuit.

The system may enable the device to receive an incoming call from the PSTN and may provide additional functionality, such as determining call statistics during the telephone call, determining if another telephone receives audio data during the telephone call and detecting an alarm signal sent via the PSTN.

System and method for delivering wireless emergency alerts to residential phones

A method and system for providing a Commercial Mobile Alert System paging notification, such as a text based emergency alert message, to a fixed wireless terminal system is provided. The fixed wireless terminal provides an interface between cellular wireless networks and a residential phone system comprising the fixed wireless network and one or more receivers configured to operate over a traditional Plain Old Telephone Service (POTS). The fixed wireless terminal receives the text based alert message and converts the alert message into an audio file that can be provided to the one or more residential phone receivers over the POTS network.

EMERGENCY COMMUNICATION SOLUTION
