10926140 · 2021-02-23 · ·

A device includes a signaling means and a motion sensor, and logic for activating or controlling the signaling means in response to a sensed motion according to an embedded logic. The device may be used as a toy, and may be shaped like a play ball or as a handheld unit. It may be powered from a battery, either chargeable from an AC power source directly or contactless by using induction or by converting electrical energy from harvested kinetic energy. The embedded logic may activate or control the signaling means, predictably or randomly, in response to sensed acceleration magnitude or direction, such as sensing the crossing of a preset threshold or sensing the peak value. The visual means may be a numeric display for displaying a value associated with the count of the number of times the threshold has been exceeded or the peak magnitude of the acceleration sensed.

Cooling methods for exercise equipment

A method for cooling a motor on a treadmill includes rotating a flywheel with a drive motor. A ring member coupled to the flywheel is be rotated with the flywheel. A pressure drop is generated in an annulus of the ring member between the drive motor and a lift motor. Intake air is drawn in a first direction across the lift motor toward the pressure drop.

The system may also have a communication and networking subsystem structured as a networking device and arranged to connect to and communicate bay exchanging information with at wired and/or wireless network.

MULTI-FUNCTIONAL MODULARIZED EXERCISE APPARATUS

A multi-functional modularized exercise apparatus including a bracket, a seat, a power module, at least one exercise module, and a control system is provided. The seat is disposed on the bracket. The power module is securely disposed on the bracket and is located outside the seat. The at least one exercise module is disposed on the power module and connected to the power module. The control system is electrically coupled to the power module, and is configured to adjust a resistance of the power module and adapted to switch the power module to an active mode or a passive mode. An external force is applied to the at least one exercise module and is transmitted to the power module to overcome the resistance of the power module.

Hybrid resistance system

A resistance system, which can be suitable for incorporation in exercise equipment, is a hybrid resistance assembly having at least a first and a second resistance unit. The first resistance unit can be of a first type and the second resistance unit can be of a second type. The first resistance unit can be an inertial resistance unit, which incorporates an inertial load that creates resistance influenced by the inertia of a movable mass, such as a rotatable flywheel. The second resistance unit can be a static or non-inertial resistance unit, such as a displacement resistance unit, which incorporates a load that creates resistance influenced by displacement (e.g., linear or rotational displacement) of an input to the displacement resistance unit.

Manually powered treadmill with variable braking resistance

A treadmill includes a frame; a plurality of bearings coupled to the frame; a running belt at least partially supported by the plurality of bearings and adapted for rotational movement relative to the frame, the running belt having a running surface, at least a portion of which is curved; a braking system configured to selectively resist rotation of the running belt; a support element coupled to the frame; and a safety device coupled to the running belt. The safety device is at least partly supported by the support element. The running belt freely rotates in a first direction of rotation relative to the frame, however, in a second direction of rotation, opposite the first direction of rotation, engagement between the support element and at least a portion of the safety device substantially prevents rotation the running belt relative to the frame.

PEDAL STRUCTURE FOR EXERCISE BIKE

A pedal structure is respectively provided with different coupling structures on two sides of a pedal body to couple and lock the feet of users who wear different types of shoes on the pedal body. One of the sides of the pedal body is provided with a clip coupling structure for coupling and locking a cleat mounted to a bottom of a road bike cycling shoe, and the opposite side of the pedal body is provided with a toe-clip pedal for tying and fixing a regular sports shoe and a skidding prevention structure for preventing skidding relative to the sole of the sports shoe. With such a dual-sided pedal arrangement, the feet of users who wear different types of shoes can be securely held on the pedal body to prevent skidding or idle pedaling during pedaling of the exercise bike to thereby improve accuracy of the training data detected by a training signal detection device.

SPINNER BIKE WITH ADJUSTABLE MAGNETIC RESISTANCE

A spinner bike with adjustable magnetic resistance includes a generator, a disc plate, a magnetic resistance adjusting apparatus and a resistance adjusting apparatus. The elements are disposed on a frame body of a spinner bike, so that a pedaling mechanism of the spinner bike can be operated to drive a flywheel and the disc plate for generating electricity by the cutting of flux formed by a plurality of magnets surrounding an armature core. Rotating a button of the resistance adjusting apparatus enables a connecting rod operating a pulling cable, so as to further alter coverage of the flux on the disc plate for adjustment of the loading resistance.
