MULTI-SERVICES APPLICATION GATEWAY AND SYSTEM EMPLOYING THE SAME

An intelligent gateway device provided at a premise (home or business) for providing and managing application services associated with use and support of a plurality of digital endpoint devices associated with the premises. The device includes a communications and processing infrastructure integrated with a peer and presence messaging based communications protocol for enabling communications between the device and an external support network and between the device and connected digital endpoint devices. A services framework at the gateway device implements the communications and processing infrastructure for enabling service management, service configuration, and authentication of user of services at the intelligent gateway. The framework provides a storage and execution environment for supporting and executing received service logic modules relating to use, management, and support of the digital endpoint devices. Thus, the gateway device provides a network-based services point of presence for a plurality of digital endpoint devices at the premises.

Method and System for Location-Dependent Billing for Services

A method for location-dependent billing for a services that are available to a mobile terminal, a local communication connection is set up to a fixably installed external location tag with a corresponding wireless interface between the fixably installed tag and the mobile terminal, the method including the steps of accessing the external location tag and transmitting a billing rate code from the external location tag to the mobile terminal, forwarding the billing rate code from the mobile terminal to a central unit of a mobile communication network, in which the mobile terminal is logged, determining a geographic location identification of the external location tag by evaluation of the billing rate code at the central unit, and selecting a billing rate for billing for the service available to the user based on the billing rate code at the central unit.

Access control lists and profiles to manage femto cell coverage

Access to femto cell service can be managed through access control list(s) (e.g., white list(s), or black list(s)). White list(s) includes a set of subscriber station(s) identifier numbers, codes, or tokens, and also can include additional fields for femto cell access management based on desired complexity. White list(s) can have associated white list profile(s) therewith to establish logic of femto coverage access based on the white list(s). Values of attribute fields that determine white list(s), black list(s), or white list profile(s) can be generated through various sources. An access list management component facilitates generation and maintenance of white list(s), black list(s), or white list profile(s). Values for identifier attribute field(s) available for inclusion in a white list are validated prior to inclusion therein. Various example aspects such as white list(s) management, maintenance and dissemination; automatic population or pre-configuration; and inclusion of wireless device(s) or subscriber(s) are also provided.

Intra-premises content and equipment management in a femtocell network

Traffic and signaling is routed between a set of networked femto access points (APs) and devices served there from, and content and equipment that is part of a network functionally coupled to the set of networked femto APs is managed. Networked equipment spans a network deployed within the coverage area spanned by the set of femto APs. A routing platform functionally couples the networked equipment and the femto AP to enable content manipulation amongst a mobile device and the equipment. Routing platform also affords remote control of the networked equipment. Delivery of advertisement and monetary incentive(s) can be provided through the routing platform to the equipment. Routing platform further provides security features related to operation of specific equipment and wireless services supplied via the routing platform.

Charging information processing method and gateway device

Embodiments of the present invention provide a charging information processing method and a gateway device. The method includes sending, to a gateway forwarding plane, a charging information identification set used for identifying charging information, saving first charging information sent by the gateway forwarding plane, where the first charging information carries a first charging information identification, which is an element in the charging information identification set, receiving second charging information sent by the gateway forwarding plane and saved by the gateway forwarding plane, where the second charging information carries a second charging information identification, which is an element in the charging information identification set, and combining the first charging information and the second charging information according to the first charging information identification and the second charging information identification. In this way, a disaster recovery capability can be effectively improved and charging reliability can be ensured.

Call setup penalty cost categorization

Embodiments of systems and methods presently disclosed generally relate to categorizing penalty costs associated with calls. More specifically, embodiments relate to identifying penalty costs generated in response to setting up calls in a network and determining one or more reasons for the penalty costs. Further still, embodiments relate to generating one or more reports of penalty costs. Further yet, embodiments relate to notifying specified personnel of the penalty cost report(s).

INTERFACE FOR ACCESS MANAGEMENT OF FEMTO CELL COVERAGE

Access to femto cell service is managed through access control list(s), or white list(s). Such white list(s) can be configured via a networked interface which facilitates access management to a femto cell. White list(s) includes a set of subscriber station(s) identifier numbers, codes or tokens, and can also include additional fields for femto cell access management based on desired complexity. Various interfaces and user profiles are associated with granting different levels of access to requesting UEs.

APP DISTRIBUTION OVER THE AIR
20170070841 · 2017-03-09 ·

A method and system for transferring apps between mobile devices without the need to download the app from an app store. Various examples are provided for discovering, authenticating and transmitting the apps among devices directly or via an access point. Even when no connection is available, examples are provided for establishing a mesh network and transferring the app using the mesh network. If not all devices have mesh networking capability, connection such as Bluetooth is used to distribute the mesh network capability and then the mesh network is established.
