MOTOR POWERED LIFTING RACK SYSTEM
A motorized lifting rack that selectively lifts and lowers a barbell through linear actuators is provided. The powered lifting rack can engage a barbell at floor level. The linear actuators can also selectively raise and lower safety bars design to “spot” the barbell for a single user. The powered lifting rack is embodied in a system that includes a platform that the safety bars can nest in. The platform provides a plurality of actuating benches for a user of the barbell to utilize.

METHOD FOR CONTROLLING TRAINING MACHINE
A method for controlling a training machine is provided. Data of the force applied to a reciprocation means of the training machine by a user with the reciprocation means being locked as the reference force in the forward direction is obtained, and the forward load opposed to the force in the forward direction applied by the user and the backward load opposed to the force in the backward direction applied by the user are determined. Also, a load more than the reference force is applied to the reciprocation means as a backward load opposed to force in the backward direction applied by the user when the user applies force to the reciprocation means in the backward direction of the reciprocation means. As such, a relatively large load can be applied to the user when the user contracts or stretches the muscles to work out.
FITNESS TRAINING APPARATUS AND SYSTEM
A fitness training apparatus comprising a controller configured to communicate instructions to a load generator to apply a selectively adjustable load to at least one retractable line provided in or on a base, the retractable line having a free end region, the at least one retractable line being extendible from a retracted state to an extended state upon application of a force to the free end region, wherein the load applied to the at least one retractable line acts against the force applied to the free end region. The controller is configured to perform operations comprising setting a target speed band for the at least one retractable line, receiving a speed of the at least one retractable line, and responsive to comparing the speed to the target speed band, modifying the selectively adjustable load to the at least one retractable line to maintain the target speed band.
