Disclosed are a bill generation method and device, a mobile edge platform and a storage medium. The method includes: a charging service entity acquires a consumption record and charging policy configuration information, where the consumption record includes at least one of: a resource and a service on a mobile edge computing (MEC) platform used by a user terminal on the MEC on which the charging service entity is located, or a resource and a service on the MEC platform used by an application instance on the MEC platform on which the charging service entity is located; and the charging service entity generates a charging bill based on the consumption record and the charging policy configuration information.

A network device executes an account management function that pre-authorizes network service unit consumption by multiple subscribers that are members of a same, shared network service account. The account management function receives, from multiple charging systems distributed within the network, network unit consumption charges associated with each of the multiple subscribers, where the network device is centrally located within a network relative to multiple locations associated with the plurality of charging systems. The account management function updates a consumption counter for the same, shared network service account based on the network unit consumption charges associated with the multiple subscribers received from the multiple charging systems distributed within the network.

Inbound call processing systems and methods for processing inbound calls to controlled-environment facility resident media and/or communications devices employ an inbound resident call server configured to host inbound calling accounts established by non-residents, receive inbound calls from the non-residents, route the inbound calls to an authenticating server, confirm that the resident device is active, and connect the inbound resident call system with the resident device if active or inform the non-resident the resident is not available if not. The inbound resident call server also connects the non-resident inbound call with the resident device if the non-resident is associated with the inbound calling account, the inbound calling account is associated with an address identifier of the resident device and the resident's personal identification number is associated with the address identifier of the resident device, all of which may be authenticated by the authenticating server.

Disclosed is a method for establishing a communication session. First, the communication session is initiated by a server. Next, a first connection request is generated for a voice call between a first WebRTC device and a second WebRTC device over a WebRTC gateway device. A second connection request including an identifier of first WebRTC device is generated towards a connection management server. Next, an inquiry to the connection management server by the second WebRTC device is generated for determining if a connection request is received from the first WebRTC device, and in that case the communication session including both the first connection for the voice call and a second connection is established.

The application also includes a digital rights management system that enables unlimited legal downloads of different music tracks to the device and also enables any of those tracks stored on the device to be played so long as a subscription service has not terminated.

A control device according to an embodiment includes a calculator, a changing unit, and a transmitter. The calculator calculates a first communication volume obtained by adding a value obtained by normalizing a communication volume of a voice call of a first terminal and a value obtained by normalizing a communication volume of data communication of the first terminal on the basis of a first history of the voice call of the first terminal and a second history of the data communication of the first terminal. The changing unit changes a first upper limit of a third priority obtained by adding a first priority set to the voice call of the first terminal and a second priority set to the data communication of the first terminal on the basis of the first communication volume.

Customer devices (e.g., mobile cellular phones) are configured to interact with a communications service provider (and optionally an administration and monitoring system). A customer device is configured as a capped pay-as-you-go device in which the customer associated with the device is charged no more than a pre-arranged amount in any given (dynamic or static) billing period. For example, if $50 is the capped amount for a billing period, a user might pay $10 for using 1 gigabyte of data in a billing period, or it might pay $50 whether it used 5 gigabytes of data or 10 gigabytes of data in a single billing period.

Inbound call system and method implementations that provide sponsors of resident media and/or communications devices priority inbound calling host inbound calling accounts established by non-residents sponsors of sponsored resident devices. A unique address identifier (AID) of each sponsored resident device is associated with a particular non-resident sponsor (and a particular resident). Inbound calls to sponsored resident media and/or communications devices are received, the calling party is authenticated as associated with an AID of the called resident device the party is calling, and it is determined whether the calling party is a sponsor of the called resident device. If so, any ongoing call, and/or other activity, taking place on the sponsored resident device is interrupted and the non-resident inbound call is connected with the sponsored resident device.

Sponsorship of controlled-environment facility resident media and/or communications devices by non-residents may include associating a non-resident with an address identifier of a sponsored resident media and/or communications device and associating a controlled-environment facility resident identified by the non-resident with the address identifier of the sponsored device. Thereafter, inbound calls to the sponsored device are connected as a result of confirming that an inbound calling party is associated with the address identifier of the sponsored device and verifying that the resident operating the sponsored device is associated with the address identifier of the sponsored device. Revocation of sponsorship of the sponsored device removes or deactivates association of the non-resident with the address identifier of the sponsored device and removes or deactivates association of the controlled-environment facility resident with the address identifier of the sponsored media and/or communications device.
