NODE APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD, AND PROGRAM
In order to appropriately perform, in a mobile communication system including a plurality of mobile communication networks respectively operated by a plurality of mobile communication operators, cooperation among respective mobile communication networks, a core network node apparatus is a core network node apparatus in a first mobile communication network 1a operated by a mobile communication operator A, the core network node apparatus including an obtaining unit that obtains identification information of terminal apparatuses connected to the first mobile communication network 1a, a determining unit that determines whether the terminal apparatus is managed by a mobile communication operator B operating a second mobile communication network 1b different from the first mobile communication network 1a, based on the identification information, and a control unit that controls charge processing related to a service provided to the terminal apparatus by the first mobile communication network 1a, based on results of the determination.
USER SERVICE PROCESSING METHOD, SYSTEM, AND RELATED DEVICE
A service processing method and a related product is applied to the charging field. A policy control device generates a first policy of a user service, and sends the first policy to a session management function device to indicate the session management function device to perform a first quota management mode on the user service. The policy control device receives related information of a second quota management mode of a user or the user service, and determines the second quota management mode. The policy control device generates a second policy of the user service based on the second quota management mode, where the second policy is for updating or replacing the first policy. According to this method, the quota management mode of the user service is time-effective, ensuring a balance between a latency condition and credit control risks.
PATH SELECTION OR PATH SWITCHING AND CHARGING FOR PROXIMITY SERVICE COMMUNICATION
A 5G network may support path switch mechanisms from a direct path to an indirect path to the network, and vice versa. Methods and systems are disclosed for performing the path switching process.
Bandwidth throttling in a radio access network
Systems, methods, and software of managing bandwidth allocated to User Equipment (UE). In one embodiment, a bandwidth management system collects cell load information for a plurality of cells within a Radio Access Network (RAN), and processes the cell load information to determine a cell load status for each of the cells. The system performs bandwidth throttling for the UE by determining a location of the UE, identifying the cell load status for one or more cells in a region of the RAN corresponding with the location of the UE, determining whether the region of the RAN is overloaded based on the cell load status, and controlling a downgrade of bandwidth allocated to the UE in the RAN responsive to a determination that the region is overloaded.
TRACKING QOS VIOLATED EVENTS
A method in a network node comprises: detecting a Quality of Service (QoS) Violated Event in respect of a particular QoS flow of a Protocol Data Unit (PDU) session; and sending a corresponding QoS violated event report to any one or more of: a Session Management Function (SMF) of the network; a Policy Control Function (PCF) of the network; an Application Function (AF) of the network; and a third party service provider.
Alternative Charging Handling based on QoS
A method is performed by a first node, such as a PCF node, of a telecommunication network is provided. The method includes providing an alternative charging profile and an alternative QoS profile to a second node, such as a SMF node, as part of a policy and charging, PCC, rule. The method also includes requesting the second node to apply charging from the PCC rule according to the alternative charging profile based on a QoS degradation. A method performed by a second node also is provided.
Counter Subscription Method
Embodiments of this application disclose a service processing method and product, applied to a charging field in a network architecture for a slice instance. The policy control device sends a subscription request to a charging processing device, where the subscription request carries an identifier of a first slice instance and an identifier of user equipment. Then, the policy control device receives a subscription response returned by the charging processing device, where the subscription response includes first information of a first counter corresponding to the first slice instance and a subscription identifier.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ENABLING OPTIMIZED REPORTING RELATED TO POLICY CONTROL REQUEST TRIGGERS
A first network device may receive, from a second network device, a first policy control create request and may provide, to the second network device, a common policy control request trigger. The first network device may receive a second policy control create request associated with a user equipment (UE) and may cause a UE policy to be provided to the UE. The first network device may receive, from a third network device, a third policy control create request and may provide a network device policy to the third network device. The first network device may receive, from the second network device, a policy control update request based on the common policy control request trigger and may generate an updated UE policy or an updated network device policy based on the policy control update request.
Resolving unsatisfactory QoE for an application for 5G networks or hybrid 5G networks
A system and method for resolving an unsatisfactory quality of experience (QoE) for an application executed on a wireless device that accesses a CSP network is described. A QoE network appliance generates an integrated event stream that includes a RAN data set, a CN data set, a NWDAF data set, a QoE latency measurement, a QoE bandwidth measurement, and a QoE packet loss rate measurement. A measured QoE score is generated with the RAN data set, the CN data set, and the NWDAF data set. The measured QoE score is associated with a QoE latency measurement, a QoE bandwidth measurement, and a QoE packet loss rate measurement. A robotics process automation (RPA) module receives the integrated event stream when the measured QoE score fails to satisfy the QoE requirement. The RPA module performs one or more automated actions to improve the measured QoE based on information from the integrated event stream.
