METHODS, SYSTEMS, ARTICLES OF MANUFACTURE AND APPARATUS TO CALIBRATE PAYLOAD INFORMATION

Methods, apparatus, systems, and articles of manufacture to calibrate payload information are disclosed. An example apparatus includes at least one memory, instructions in the apparatus, and processor circuitry. The processor circuitry is to execute the instructions to obtain (a) passive measurement data and (b) background active measurement (BAM) data from panelists in a market of interest, the BAM data associated with network usage metrics of panelist wireless devices undisturbed by panelist behavior. The processor circuitry is also to execute the instructions to assign a first share of the passive measurement data and a second share of the BAM data to particular areas within the market of interest, the first share based on a number of passive measurement occurrences in a first one of the particular areas, the second share based on a number of BAM occurrences in the first one of the particular areas. The processor circuitry is also to execute the instructions to remove a bias between the passive measurement data and the BAM data by calibrating the BAM data for the market of interest using weights determined for the first one of the particular areas based on the first and second shares.

A Toll-Free Management Platform (TFMP) includes methods and systems for number administration, customer administration, call management services, texting services and text registry, and a smart services registry. The TFMP may allow users to receive through a web-based interface, an activate request from a user, wherein the request includes at least a customer record template reference and an indication of when to active a toll-free telecommunications number associated with the request. The request may include at least one IP address datum associated with the toll-free telecommunications number. A user interface may allow activating a toll-free number, and users may access the TFMP to create and access existing templates of toll-free call routing templates, and utilize a routing tree engine to create customized call routing trees for the toll-free numbers of interest to the user.

Simulating continuous millimeter wave band access to a telecommunications network
11224012 · 2022-01-11 · ·

The disclosed technology includes at least one method performed by a system of a telecommunications network. The system can establish a communications link between the wireless device and a network access node (NAN) of the 5G network. While connected over a non-mmW band, the wireless device autonomously schedules data downloads to occur when the wireless device is on an mmW band. The system then receives a request from the wireless device to perform the data downloads, which can be enabled by a packet gateway (PGW) upon receiving a confirmation by the NAN that the wireless device can connect over the mmW band. Otherwise, the PGW denies the wireless device's request to perform the data downloads, which can be enforced by the NAN.

METHOD FOR MONITORING THE USE OF RESOURCES IN AT LEAST ONE CELL OF A RADIO COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK
20220006905 · 2022-01-06 ·

In order best to exploit their investments, some telecommunication operators implement yield management solutions. The yield management solutions implemented make it possible to dynamically adapt the tariff offers associated with certain services provided with a level of use of the resources, or load, of the telecommunication networks involved. However, such solutions are expensive since they require introducing numerous items of equipment in the telecommunication network and they give an unsatisfactory level of responsiveness. The solution is in collecting information relating to the use of the resources of the communication network for cells constituting the radio communication network for mobile terminals identified. Consequently, the information relating to the use of the resources thus collected allows yield management solutions to be applied accurately for each mobile terminal monitored according to the location thereof in the radio communication network.

System and method for hybrid network data consumption tracking in a wireless network

Disclosed are systems and methods for intelligent, real-time network consumption tracking and traffic steering in fifth-generation (5G) networks via a network configuration and implementation. The disclosed hybrid network traffic steering is effectuated by using Diameter Routing Agent (DRA) and Subscriber Location Function (SLF) to route/steer fourth-generation (4G) network traffic by 5G subscribers to a 5G Charging Function (CHF) for 4G fallback network consumptions. Network currency consumption tracking is performed by the 5G CHF. The CHF dictates policy rules for 5G networks via the Policy Control Function (PCF) of the 5G Core, and dictates policy rules for 4G networks via the Policy and Charging Rules Functions (PCRF) for fallback sessions.

Policy enforcement in a 3GPP environment while ensuring congestion avoidance on user plane function northbound interfaces

Systems and methods are provided for providing differential treatment to user traffic involving optimized reporting of start and stop traffic. The systems and method can include detecting, at a user plane function, an initiation of a type of traffic being performed at the user plane function, providing, by the user plane function, a start event trigger of the type of traffic detected by the user plane function to a session management function, and receiving, at the user plane function, a policy associated with the type of traffic from the session management function, the policy including instructions preventing submissions of subsequent event triggers to the session management function until an end of the type of traffic, the subsequent event triggers being associated with the type of traffic detected by the user plane function.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR REDUCING WIRELESS NETWORK CONGESTION

A method for reducing wireless network congestion including receiving, at a network node, an initial request for network access from a mobile device from an initial location of the mobile device. In response to receiving the initial request for network access, the method includes determining whether a data allocation for the mobile device has been exceeded and denying, by the network node, the initial request for network access when the data allocation for the mobile device has been exceeded. The method includes receiving, at the network node, a subsequent request for network access from the mobile device from a subsequent location of the mobile device. The method includes denying, by the network node, the subsequent request for network access when the subsequent location is in the same geographic region as the initial location and a request time of the subsequent request is outside a customer support time period.
