MTC device, method and apparatus
An MTC device is provided, including: a memory unit for storing a switching condition for switching at least any one of a SIM and a communication carrier in association with each of sets of the SIM and communication carrier; a measuring unit for measuring communication quality for a set of the SIM and the communication carrier currently in use; and a control unit for controlling the switching of at least any one of the SIM and the communication carrier, when the communication quality satisfies the switching condition associated with the set of the SIM and the communication carrier currently in use.
Session Management Method, Device, and System
A session management method, device, and system, such that a terminal can access a local data network using a local user plane function (UPF) network element even when the terminal is out of a management area of a remote anchor session management function (SMF) network element. The method includes: receiving, by an intermediate session management network element, one or more local data network access identifiers (DNAIs); and determining, by the intermediate session management network element, a target DNAI based on current location information of a terminal and the one or more local DNAIs, where the target DNAI is used to select a local session management network element for the terminal.
CONTEXT AWARE CLOUD SERVICE AVAILABILITY IN A SMART CITY BY RENTING TEMPORARY DATA CENTERS
The present invention may include a computer identifies an event in an area. The computer predicts a demand for one or more cloud services for the event. The computer identifies a vehicle in an area of the event, where the vehicle have a dynamic vehicle cloud server and the computer caches the one or more cloud services for the event to the dynamic vehicle cloud server.
EXTENSION OF Npcf_EventExposure WITH USAGE MONITORING EVENT
Systems and methods are disclosed herein for event notification in a core network of a cellular communications system. In one embodiment, a method performed by a first Policy and Control Function (PCF) serving an Access Management (AM) policy association for a User Equipment (UE) wherein the first PCF is comprised in a core network of a cellular communications system comprises subscribing to an event exposure service of a second PCF serving a Session Management (SM) policy association for the UE. The method further comprises, responsive to subscribing to the event exposure service of the second PCF, receiving a report from the second PCF. In this manner, separate deployments of the first and second PCFs are enabled and still the first PCF serving the AM policy association for the UE can implement AM policies for the UE, e.g., based on UE data usage, e.g., of specified service bundles.
Automated roaming service level agreements between network operators via security edge protection proxies in a communication system environment
Techniques for automated management of a service level agreement between a first communication network and a second communication network are provided. For example, one of the communication networks is a visited network while the other is a home network whereby the service level agreement is a roaming agreement. In one example, a message is received at a first communication network from a second communication network, wherein at least a portion of the message relates to the service level agreement between the first communication network and the second communication network. An automated verification of information in the message is performed at the first communication network to determine compliance with the service level agreement. The message receiving step is performed by a security edge protection proxy function of the first communication network and the automated verification performing step is performed by a service level agreement management function of the first communication network.
Rich user experience for service upgrades
A wireless telecommunications device user's home telecommunications service provider determines that the user is traveling or about to travel to a foreign jurisdiction where telecommunications services are provided by a different telecommunications service provider, and proactively provides the user with options for selecting or upgrading telecommunications service and receives a selection from the user before the user leaves the home jurisdiction or ceases contact with the home service provider. When the user arrives in the foreign jurisdiction, upgraded service per the user's selection is established or soon ready to become active. The home service provider can determine the user's travel based on one or more of the user's electronic communications, calendar entries, current location, trending geographical movement, or patterns of past travels.
Apparatuses, methods and systems for implementing a trusted subscription management platform
Apparatuses, methods, and computer readable storage media are provided for implementing a trusted subscription management platform. An example server device is configured to transmit, to a trusted UI client of a mobile station, information regarding a set of virtual SIM cards associated with the mobile station, and receive, from the trusted UI client of the mobile station, a request to provision a particular virtual SIM card. The server device is further configured to initiate, by an SM-SR module and via a trusted baseband client of the mobile device, a secure proxy channel between the server device and a profile manager that hosts the particular virtual SIM card, and transmit, via the secure proxy channel and to the profile manager, an instruction regarding the particular virtual SIM card. Corresponding methods and computer readable storage media are provided.
REDUCTION AND GEO-SPATIAL DISTRIBUTION OF TRAINING DATA FOR GEOLOCATION PREDICTION USING MACHINE LEARNING
A method is provided of limiting machine learning (ML) model training data, including receiving a maximum number of entries per grid box N. Grids are defined, each grid having grid boxes and covering a geographic area defined by a different cell list of a communication network, each grid box covering a different portion of the geographic area. Truth call records having truth data reporting geolocation (GL) data are selected from multiple received call records. A grid box is determined for each truth call record that covers a geographic area including the GL indicated by the truth call record's GL data. Truth call records are selectively assigned to their determined grid box in a fashion to not exceed the maximum number of entries per grid box N, and the truth data and signal detail data of only the assigned truth call records are output as the ML model training data.
Adapting Network Policies Based on Device Service Processor Configuration
Disclosed herein are various embodiments to prevent, detect, or take action in response to the moving a device credential from one device to another, the improper configuration of a service processor, a missing service processor, or the tampering with a service processor in device-assisted services (DAS) systems.
Implementation and communication methods, apparatus and system of virtual subscriber identity module
The present invention provides implementation and communication methods, an apparatus and a system of a virtual subscriber identity module. The implementation method includes: receiving a VSIM application request sent by a terminal, where the VSIM application request carries an identifier of a VSIM desired by the terminal; obtaining corresponding VSIM installation information according to the identifier of the desired VSIM; and sending the VSIM installation information to the terminal, so that the terminal installs the VSIM according to the VSIM installation information. The embodiments of the present invention effectively solve a problem where an existing mobile operator network does not support the VSIM, and provide an effective and convenient operation scheme for an existing domestic or international roaming service.
