CONTENT-BASED ROUTING AND RATING OF MESSAGES IN A TELECOMMUNICATIONS NETWORK
Systems and methods for automated routing and rating of communication data.
METHOD OF RESPONSE MANAGEMENT
A method for managing a communication, through a communication network, from a second individual to a first individual, in which the first individual is associated in a first database with a plurality of second addresses. A second database lists, for each of said second addresses, information relating to communications between the first and second individuals. The method includes, for a first communication intended for the second individual and arising from a first address associated with the first individual: identifying the first address; initializing a second communication intended for the first individual; selecting, according to the second database, at least one address from among the plurality of second addresses associated with the first individual; comparing with the first address at least one second address included in the selection of addresses; validating at least the second address; and launching the second communication to at least the second address.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR VOICE COMMUNICATION CONTROL IN FIXED-MOBILE CONVERGENCE SYSTEM
The present invention provides an apparatus and method for a voice communication control in a fixed-mobile convergence system, which can efficiently control, at the time of providing a fixed-mobile convergence service in the fixed mobile convergence system, a call path for a voice communication outgoing from or incoming to a user terminal, thereby optimizing call cost and call quality.
Data Usage Based Data Transfer Determination
A data usage recommendation system monitors data usage of a computing device on a network over a time period. The data usage recommendation system is aware of a data usage limit on the network over the time period, and determines whether the computing device is on track to not exceed the data usage limit during the time period. The data usage recommendation system, based on whether the computing device is on track to not exceed the data usage limit during the time period, can provide recommendations to a program regarding whether to transfer data over the network. Additionally or alternatively, the data usage recommendation system can manage or direct the transfer of data over the network based on whether the computing device is on track to not exceed the data usage limit during the time period.
Apparatus, methods, and articles of manufacture for filtering calls and reducing spoofing and spamming
Unsolicited electronic communications such as robocalls and person-initiated solicitation calls are reduced by imposing tolls for completion of the connections to the called parties, and refunding the tolls to the entities indicated by the electronic communications as the calling parties. In this way, a dishonest originator of a spoofed call bears the cost of the toll, and the toll is not refunded to the dishonest originator. On the other hand, the toll collected from an honest originator of a non-spoofed call is refunded to the honest originator, making the toll transparent to the honest originator and avoiding annoyance of the honest caller caused by the toll. Unsolicited calls may be subjected to filtering, particularly filtering based on the indications of the origins of the calls.
INFRINGEMENT HANDLING FOR BACKGROUND DATA TRANSFER (BDT) POLICY
The present disclosure is related to methods and network nodes for handling infringement of a background data transfer (BDT) policy. A method at a first network node for handling infringement of one or more conditions associated with a negotiated BDT policy, the method comprising: determining whether a user equipment (UE) infringes any of the one or more conditions other than one or more negotiated time intervals during which BDT is expected to be performed by the UE; and triggering updating of a charging rate applied for the UE in response to determining that the UE infringes at least one of the one or more conditions.
Method of compensating a provider for advertisements displayed on a mobile phone
A method and apparatus for advertising on a mobile phone. In one embodiment the method includes the steps of downloading an advertisement to the mobile phone using an advertisement server; selecting the downloaded advertisement on the mobile phone by a user of the mobile phone; providing by a server additional information in response to the user selection; and tracking the selection and additional information by the server. In another embodiment the compensation provided is in response to the display screen of said advertisement. In another embodiment the step of providing additional information includes the step of using space reserved, in the user interface of the mobile phone, for advertisements. Another aspect the invention relates to a system for displaying advertisements on a mobile phone. In one embodiment the system includes a server; and a mobile phone in communication with said server.
Adaptive bandwidth consumption optimization for wireless data connections
Embodiments are disclosed for caching multimedia content. An example in-vehicle computing system that adaptively caches multimedia data, the in-vehicle system including a memory, a position sensor, a receiver, and a processor. The position sensor provides a position signal indicative of a present location of the system. The receiver wirelessly receives multimedia data from a remote multimedia data source. The processor stores the received multimedia data in the memory, transfers multimedia data in the memory to a queue for playback when an amount of multimedia data saved in the memory is at least a first threshold value, and adjusts a size of the memory when a wireless communication channel is not available between the system and a remote multimedia data source.
Techniques for dynamic zero-rated server clusters
Techniques for dynamic zero-rated server clusters are described. Some embodiments are particularly directed to techniques for delivering zero-rated content packages in which different client devices with different zero-rated content packages may receive their appropriate zero-rated content using a shared cluster of zero-rated servers. In one embodiment, for example, an apparatus may comprise a network access component operative to receive a user request at a network service from a client device via a data network, wherein the network service is rate-adjusted for the client device with the data network; and respond to the user request; and a rate-adjustment management component operative to access a rate-adjustment wallet for a user account for the user request; and configure the network access component to respond to the user request based on the rate-adjustment wallet. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
System and method for correlating user call response to electronic messages
A method of correlating outgoing electronic communications with received electronic messages includes: sending an electronic message associated with a second party to a first party; subsequently receiving an outgoing electronic communication from the first party by the second party; automatically determining whether the outgoing electronic communication resulted from the electronic message, based on electronically stored information about the sending of the electronic message and about the subsequently received outgoing electronic communication; and if it is determined that the outgoing electronic communication resulted from the electronic message, flagging the outgoing electronic communication to have a different status from outgoing electronic communications not determined to have resulted from an electronic message.
