The present disclosure provides a charging control method, a charging trigger apparatus, and an online charging system. The method includes: generating, by a CTF, a resource quota request according to a trigger condition; and sending the resource quota request to an online charging system (OCS), so that the OCS determines a quota type and number after receiving the resource quota request, and allocates a quota for the resource quota request according to the quota type and number determined by the OCS, where the quota type and number are determined by the OCS according to the resource quota request. In the foregoing method, a problem that in the prior art, a charging control error occurs due to different determining bodies of a quota type is solved.

SUPPORT FOR ENVELOPE REPORTING

A method for supporting envelope reporting in a radio communication network having a control plane, CP, function separated from a user plane, UP, function, is presented. The method is performed in a CP node of the radio communication network and comprises setting (S100) a time quota mechanism, TQM, in a usage reporting rule, URR, to which its corresponding service data flows, SDFs, are applicable for envelope for envelope reporting, setting (S100) at least one reporting trigger in the URR, to instruct the UP function to generate a usage report upon closure of an envelope, setting (S100) a measurement method in the URR, to instruct the UP function to collect usage of volume, time and/or event, sending (S110) the set URR to the UP function, receiving (S120) one or more usage reports from the UP function, in response to the sent URR, wherein the received usage report(s) comprises at least a usage report trigger set to envelope closure, determining (S130) a starting time and/or an ending time for each envelope, based on the received usage report(s), and storing (S140) each envelope, with the determined starting time and/or ending time, for online or offline charging. A CP node, a UP node, a computer program and a computer program product are also presented.

Web interface usage tracker

Among other things, embodiments of the present disclosure can help monitor activity of customers using web portals to access services. Examples of such activity include log-ins to a web portal, views of account statements through the web portal, transactions made on the account, and the like. Embodiments of the present disclosure can generate a model relating customer characteristics to expected account activity. The system can apply the model to individual customers and compares actual account activity to expected account activity. If a mismatch is detected, the system may generate an alert message directed to a administrator or other type of user who can contact the customer to troubleshoot the identified issues.

Information processing system

In a system in which a wireless access network and another network are connected to each other, an accurate fee is charged in a case where data held in an application server disposed in the wireless access network is used. The application server holds an application and data relating to the application. A usage mode information generating unit generates usage mode information which is information relating to a usage mode when the wireless terminal uses the held data. A network data usage amount measuring unit measures a network data usage amount when the wireless terminal uses data on another network via a wireless access network connected to the wireless terminal. A fee charging unit charges a fee on the basis of the measured network data usage amount and charge a fee on a basis of the generated usage mode information.

Multiple-factor authentication
10965666 · 2021-03-30 · ·

Multiple factor authentication of a user is provided by verifying a first authentication factor for the user. At least one target endpoint device is identified relative to the user. An application program interface (API) is accessed and used to generate a communication request that includes a first portion specifying the target endpoint device and written in a format of an application program interface (API), and a second portion that includes a set of one or more documents written in a programming language that includes call flow commands for call routing logic of a call control server. The call flow commands include commands specifying how to communicate a security code. The communication request is transmitted to the call control server. Input is received from the user. A second authentication factor is verified for the user by comparing the input to the security code.

Increasing processing capacity of processor cores during initial program load processing

According to one or more embodiments of the present invention, a computer-implemented method includes allocating a set of computing resources to a first partition from a plurality of partitions in a computer server, and monitoring a usage duration of the set of computing resources by the first partition. The method further includes generating a billing statement based on the usage duration of the computing resources by the first partition. The method further includes detecting an abnormal event in operation of the first partition and adjusting one or more settings of the set of computing resources to increase processing capacity associated with the first partition to complete the abnormal event. The method further includes monitoring a first usage duration of the computing resources during completion of the abnormal event and adjusting the usage duration of based on the first usage duration, and adjusting the billing statement using the adjusted usage duration.

MANAGING LIVE VIDEO STREAM CONNECTIONS AND DATA USAGE

Exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure are related to minimize data usage over a costly or slow communication link. When a user is not watching a video stream, the stream may be terminated preventing any further data usage on a metered data connection. A system may also include a user device and a back-end network with a stream manager service. The stream manager service terminates streaming over a wireless channel by an application of the user device when the user device determines one of inactivity of a user of the user device with the application or navigation on the user device away from the application.

TIME-BASED NANO-TRANSACTION SYSTEM FOR REDUCING UNSOLICITED COMMUNICATIONS
20210014359 · 2021-01-14 ·

A telecommunications system for selectively connecting originator nodes to recipient nodes includes an account database with one or more accounts each associated with corresponding ones of the originator nodes and the recipient nodes. There is a contacts database with recipient contact lists each associated with a specific one of the accounts of the recipient nodes. A transaction processor is receptive to an incoming telecommunications initiation request, which includes a recipient node identifier and a nano-transaction payment submission defined at least by a payment amount. The transaction processor responsively directs the establishment of the telecommunications link between the one of the originator nodes and the one of the recipient nodes upon receipt of the telecommunications initiation request. The nano-transaction payment submission is settled based at least in part upon an active duration of the telecommunications link.
