The present disclosure provides a charging control method, a charging trigger apparatus, and an online charging system. The method includes: generating, by a CTF, a resource quota request according to a trigger condition; and sending the resource quota request to an online charging system (OCS), so that the OCS determines a quota type and number after receiving the resource quota request, and allocates a quota for the resource quota request according to the quota type and number determined by the OCS, where the quota type and number are determined by the OCS according to the resource quota request. In the foregoing method, a problem that in the prior art, a charging control error occurs due to different determining bodies of a quota type is solved.

A base station method is provided to control user data traffic. A wireless device is associated with a limited volume of resources for user data traffic. When it remains resources in the limited volume associated the wireless device, the base station receives a first indicator from a core network node. The first indicator indicates that said user data traffic shall be routed to the local cloud. The base station routes the user data traffic over a split bearer. The split bearer comprises a first bearer between the base station and the local cloud in which said user data traffic is routed and a second bearer from the base station to a gateway node. In the second bearer a copy of said user data traffic is routed for measuring the volume of the user data traffic between the wireless device and the local cloud in relation to the limited volume.

In a case the roaming user device is not authorized to access the detect third-party access point due to the existing subscription to home service provider and/or lack of roaming agreement between home service provider and the detected third-party access point, an on-demand roaming arrangement will be negotiated to enable the user device to access wireless resources associated with the third-party access point.

Technologies for converting mobile communications network billing records include a billing record converter system. The billing record converter system receives a data usage billing record associated with a mobile computing device communicatively coupled to a long term evolution wireless communications network. The received data usage billing record is formatted according to a real-time data usage billing record format. The received data usage billing record is converted into a new data usage billing record formatted according to a roaming data usage billing record format that corresponds to a legacy wireless communications network. The new data usage billing record is transmitted to a billing system of the legacy wireless communications network for processing. In some embodiments, the billing record converter system cumulates and converts multiple data usage billing records associated with the mobile computing device into the new data usage billing record.
