Apparatus for physical exercise
An apparatus for physical exercise comprising a resistance arrangement having at least one hydraulic cylinder adapted for providing resistance forces in at least a first and a second direction, the apparatus having a force transmission assembly through which the resistance forces are operable. The force transmission assembly having at least one actuation member being in operable engagement therewith and being adapted to transfer forces generated by a user in at least two directions of motion to the at least one hydraulic cylinder via the force transmission assembly. The resistance forces created by the at least one hydraulic cylinder opposing the user generated forces.
WEIGHT TRAINING APPARATUS
A weight training apparatus using hydraulics or pneumatics for applying positive and negative resistance closer to a user's maximum capacity throughout a lift is provided. The apparatus allows for weight training without weights. The apparatus may provide a more effective and safer mechanism for training than conventional techniques. An aerobic apparatus using hydraulics or pneumatics for a more realistic feel is also provided. Methods of using the devices are also provided.
EXERCISE MACHINE ENHANCEMENTS
An exercise machine is disclosed. The exercise machine comprises a tension generating device. The exercise machine comprises a translatable arm mount coupled to the tension generating device. The exercise machine comprises an arm coupled to the translatable arm mount. The exercise machine comprises a cable coupled to the tension generating device via the arm.
Fidgeting Device
Fidgeting device (1) comprising at least one longitudinal tube (2) with a wall (3) with at least a resilient part (4), wherein the tube (2) is embodied with a proximal open end (6) and a closed distal end (7), and that the wall (3) of the tube (2) is provided with one or more at least in part active user-controlled closable openings (8) or slits (9) so that the fidgeting device (1) also embodies a breath exercise device.
Exercise machine
An exercise machine has a mobile base and an upright support extending upwards from the mobile base. An upper support assembly extends forward from an upper portion of the upright support and an exercise device is suspended from the upper support assembly at a location spaced forward from the upright support. The exercise machine may include a compact and safe counterbalancing gas spring mechanism that tends to move the exercise device away from the exerciser, and that requires a force to be applied to move an exercise device down towards the exerciser. The exercise machine may include an exercise device that is rotatable along a vertical axis, and may be coupled to an adjustable monitor for a wide range of uses. The exercise machine may be used by a exerciser lying supine, sitting in a chair or wheelchair, or standing in front of or adjacent the exercise machine.
DEVICES FOR EXERCISE APPARATUSES
A device for an exercise apparatus includes a linear adjustment system and a sensor coupled to the linear adjustment system. The exercise apparatus includes a loading interface and a frame coupled to the loading interface for performing an exercise. The linear adjustment system fixes the loading interface of the exercise apparatus at any one of a plurality of functional positions in a functional range of the loading interface. The sensor measures the force exerted on the linear adjustment system. A correlating mechanism is used to correlate the force exerted on the linear adjustment system with the force exerted on the loading interface. The device allows exercisers to exert high or maximum loads in any one of a plurality of positions throughout their entire range of motion without first passing through a weak range of motion.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR INCREASED REALISM OF TRAINING ON EXERCISE MACHINES
An exercise machine includes a cyclical actuator and a mechanical energy storage device. Connective structure operatively connects the cyclical actuator to the mechanical energy storage device. Motion of the cyclical actuator urges physical motion of and energy storage in the mechanical energy storage device. The exercise machine further includes an electric machine. A communication pathway enables exchange of data between multiple associated exercise machines such that multiple associated operators on multiple associated exercise machines have a common experience.
Squat bar for fitness machine
A system comprising an exercise system having a resistance structure of an exercise bar connected to cables, which cables are connected to at least one pneumatic cylinder that creates resistance, wherein the resistance is adjusted by the user via actuators in the exercise bar, so that the user does not need to release the exercise bar to adjust the resistance. The system may be supported by a frame, and the pneumatic cylinder may be connected to an equalizing tank that may be housed within or integrated into the frame. The system may include a monitor to visually display system parameters and other information to the user. The system may calculate resistance and work done by the user by measuring piston displacement and speed, as well as using accelerometers or other devices integrated into the exercise bar.
Exercise apparatus and method
An exercise apparatus and method for working the hip muscles, in particular the glute muscle groups. Said exercise apparatus includes a low-profile chassis having a front portion and a rear portion, an elongated cross member having a pair of hip/lap cushions, a foot platform slidably mounted on the chassis, a shoulder/back support mounted on a support frame, a resistance member for loading the muscles of a user and a variable transmission adapted to act as a variable diameter pulley configured to reduce the input force required for a user to overcome the resistance member force.
