Systems and methods for switching zero charge callers
11622248 · 2023-04-04 · ·

Asynchronous and/or synchronous zero charge telephony protocol systems and methods may include an asynchronous signaling switch and/or a call duration time quota from a synchronous charging onset to place and complete a call. A first device call request is received with a second device mobile address. The asynchronous systems include instructions to automatically modify the mobile address with a routing prefix when the first device has insufficient balance or independent of balance, route to the asynchronous signaling switch based on an associated modified address trunk path, revert the modified call signal at the asynchronous signaling switch to the call signal, and deliver and automatically disconnect the call immediately when the call is completed. The synchronous systems include instructions to automatically set the call duration time quota upon insufficient balance, and deliver and automatically disconnect the call from the second user mobile device when the call is completed and the call duration time quota is exceeded.

Apparatus and method for providing mobile edge computing services in wireless communication system

The disclosure relates to a 5.sup.th generation (5G) or pre-5G communication system for supporting a data transmission rate higher than that of a 4.sup.th generation (4G) system, such as long-term evolution (LTE). The disclosure relates to authentication and authorization for edge computing applications, and an operation method of a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system. The method may include transmitting, to a server, a first message including at least one of information related to the UE or a type of user agent, performing an authentication procedure for an edge computing service according to an authentication method determined based on the first message, receiving a second message indicating authority granted to the edge computing service, based on an authentication code generated by the server according to the performed authentication procedure, and using the edge computing service in a range corresponding to the granted authority.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS OF USING REMOTE SUBSCRIBER IDENTIFICATION MODULES AT A DEVICE

The present invention discloses methods and systems for communicating at a cellular router between a first wireless communication module and a first subscriber identity module (SIM). The cellular router receives a first request from a first wireless communication module and encapsulates the first request in a first modified request. The cellular router then sends the first modified request to a first SIM card in a first communication apparatus and waits for a first modified reply. While waiting for the first modified reply the cellular router sends at least one halt message to the first wireless communication module after a first time threshold. After receiving the first modified reply, the cellular router decapsulates the first modified reply to retrieve a first reply and sends the first reply to the first wireless communication module where the first modified reply is a reply to the first modified request.

SUBSCRIPTION ACTIVATION FOR MOBILE WIRELESS DEVICES

This Application sets forth techniques for provisioning and activating electronic subscriber identity modules (eSIMs) for mobile wireless devices. An eSIM is reserved during a sales order process and later activated during device activation after receipt by a user. An option for eSIM installation in place of (or in addition to) physical SIM installation is provided when purchasing the mobile wireless device. The reserved eSIM can replace a previous SIM/eSIM or be a new eSIM. During device activation, installation and activation of the eSIM occurs. Activation of the eSIM can occur before or after deactivation of a transferred SIM/eSIM. The mobile wireless device accounts for propagation delay of eSIM activation through MNO servers by disabling and re-enabling the eSIM until initial attachment to an MNO cellular wireless network succeeds or a maximum number of retry attempts is reached.

Terminal type identification in interaction processing

A method is disclosed. The method includes receiving, by a user device from an access device, an available applications request message. The available applications request message includes an access device type identifier. The method also includes determining whether an association exists between the access device type identifier and one or more application identifiers of a plurality of application identifiers stored on the user device. The plurality of application identifiers respectively correspond to different applications on the user device. The method also includes transmitting, by the user device, to the access device, based in part on whether the association exists, an available applications response. The available applications response includes the one or more application identifiers of the plurality of application identifiers associated with the access device type identifier.
