TEXT PAYMENT SYSTEM
Systems and methods are disclosed to facilitate payment of a restaurant bill via text message. For example, a text message having a restaurant bill code may be sent from a customer device to an MPS phone number. A restaurant network address may be extracted for a restaurant computing system. A query may be sent to the restaurant computing system using the restaurant network address with the restaurant bill code. In response, the restaurant computing system may send restaurant bill data that includes least one restaurant menu item, a price for the at least one restaurant menu item, and a total bill amount. A unique URL may be created that when entered into a web browser presents a webpage that includes at least the restaurant bill data. The unique URL may be used by the customer to pay the restaurant bill.
Wireless communication device control of wireless communication access systems
A wireless communication network enables a user to select data communication accounting systems. A wireless communication device attaches to a wireless access system, and the wireless access system transfers network data characterizing Billing Identifiers (BIDs) to the wireless communication device. The wireless communication device processes the network data in combination with a user-prioritized list of accounting names to select one of the BIDs. The wireless communication device transfers the selected BID to the wireless access system, and the wireless access system directs a gateway system to use the selected BID for the wireless communication device. The gateway system exchanges user data for the wireless communication device and transfers usage data to the data communication accounting systems that is identified by the selected BID.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING AND ASSOCIATING TARIFF RATES FOR INSTITUTIONAL CALLS
A telecommunications method for call forwarding including storing information regarding a called party in at least one local database, where the information regarding the called party is stored in a user account and making a telephone call by dialing a telephone number with a telephone, where the telephone is contained in a telephone management system. The method also includes determining whether the telephone number is associated with the user account and transferring, via the switchboard, the call to the called party if the telephone number is associated with the user account, where the telephone management system is in communication with a revenue management system, and also where the revenue management system contains at least one local database.
Wireless Service Card Having Machine Readable Codes and Device and Process for Use Therewith
A process for authorizing wireless service includes providing a generally rectangular flat form factor card having a first surface and opposing second surface. The process further includes providing a machine-readable activation code arranged on the first surface, wherein the machine-readable activation code is configured to authorize the wireless service when provided to a system associated with a wireless service provider, receiving the machine-readable activation code in a server, the machine-readable activation code being captured by a wireless device, and provisioning the wireless service to the wireless device from a wireless network when the machine-readable activation code is provided to the system associated with the wireless network.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR TRANSMITTING DATA INDICATIVE OF SELECTED VALUE ADDED SERVICES FROM OFFER DISTRIBUTION SERVERS TO MOBILE TERMINALS
A method for transmitting data indicative of selected value added services includes: retrieving, from issuer servers, data indicative of value added services, offered by the issuer servers, for storage at the offer distribution server as value added services data; receiving, from a mobile terminal, wallet data providing an indication of payment cards stored in the mobile terminal; processing, at the offer distribution server, the wallet data against the value added services data to determine the value added services accessible through the mobile terminal by ascertaining that the payment cards are recognised by the respective issuer server that offers the value added services; extracting, at the offer distribution server, the selected value added services data for transmission to the mobile terminal in response to consolidation of the value added services accessible through the mobile terminal; and transmitting the selected value added services data to the mobile terminal.
